There has been some parts source conversation lately and I figured I would add my two cents. After Onur (Beno) got out of the parts business I tried several parts sources here in the states with less tan stellar results. Pretty much, if it was not sitting on their shelf it was not included in the order. Not even an offer to dig up said parts and ship later.

@izzyandsue mentioned Partsouq.com in a thread I ran about parts a little while back, so I gave them a try. I am a fan and use them all of the time now. I ordered the parts below on Sat, they arrived today (Tues) before noon. That is from half way around the world folks. Good pricing, fair shipping rates and the longest wait I have had is 4 days.

I've had great luck with Partsouq. It's amazing how quickly they ship from UAE. McGeorge Toyota is my second choice. I'm right down the street from them but they sell online normally cheaper than they will give me dealer pricing in person.

it's a sad state of affairs when the Toyota dealer right down the street on a walk in price can't beat a shipped to your door part from UAE... No wonder Onur bailed.

They will also supply “rest of the world” parts that a domestic dealer will tell you don’t exist.

You are right on the mark Jim. I needed visors from a 70 series.

Partsouq.com has been really good to me. I will say that for larger (heavier) parts, make sure to check domestically along side partsouq. McGeorge is mentioned here, they are a good source and are also good people. Some bigger items tend to be a better price stateside, once shipping is factored in.

A very nice aspect to partsouq.com is that they typically photograph all the parts they sell and post them to their website. So, when you go to look for a part from their inventory list, 90% of the time they will have a photo of it. It's some extra insurance for my 'briefly illiterate, wrong part ordering' self.

I have to recommend cross shopping partsouq.

I need to replace Jolene’s radiator. Genuine Toyota part from a generic Toyota parts site was roughly $500 nearly $1100 from the souq.
BUT the hoses came in at 1/2 price vs the same site.
PITA, but in the end each part needs to be shopped smartly.

This is why I drink.
