Hey,

Is Rob at RADD in Nanaimo the best bet for getting parts here? I've just picked up Martin White's HDJ81 and brought it to Victoria where it'll be for the winter. I want to plan ahead and pick up a couple of oil filters and that kind of thing now, before I need them.

Thanks,
Matt

For basic parts: filters, belts, etc, you should be able to find a cross referenced number to a part that can be easily had at Napa/Lordco/etc.. I ran Napa Gold filters when I had my JDM HJ61. Check out the parts thread in the Diesel and 24v section, lots of 81 part #s in there.

Also, you'll probably want to get a copy of the Toyota EPC so you can look part #s up yourself (do a search for it on here). The boys at Metro Toyota in Victoria are getting increasingly more annoying when dealing with cruiser parts.

That's a nice rig you picked up, you will enjoy it!

not sure where the 80's guys in the club are getting most parts.

I'd check napa (lordco is getting a bit spendy lately) for availability and prices.

or... why not come to a meeting and ask them yourself?:D

we're not that bad... and I'm sure some one will have some sort of answer for you.

I have been getting parts from Japan4x4 Dave has been doing a great job trying to get my parts fast. The prices are cheaper then what I could find in Canada even with shipping.

if i deal have to deal with metro toyota in vic i pretty much just deal with Darcy, she would be the one to go to for cruiser parts as far as toyota goes...the guys up in duncan are useless as well....

I've had good luck at Key2, even for supposedly "dealer-only" stuff that Lordco couldn't get (like a PS pump). They're on Burnside right next door to Lordco.

Of course mine's a gasser, but many of the parts - and all the suspension/steering etc - are the same.
