Just got my rear sway bar parts.
Does anyone know if I have to put in the rubber bushing into sway bar first and the the metal spacer? Or put the spacer into the bushing then press it into sway bar.
This is for rear.
Thanks

Did the front and rear anti sway bar end links and bushings this weekend using 6 inch ramps and my driveway (and an fm radio).

Now this 2006 lc drives better when cornering and seems to track a new one. Old bushings werent as bad as imagined as the vehicle has 195k odo but I wanted to get this done before a 200,000 mile timing belt/ water pump job. And its done...

Bump to an old thread, but I wanted to add that I just did my front sway bushings and it made a surprisingly huge difference in steering feel and accuracy for the better.

I used the Supergo Poly bushings in the front and Whiteline in the back. No real addition to NVH either.

Whats "NVH"?
Noise, Vibration, Harshness.

I guess that's more of a sports car term (which I own a few of) than trucks. i.e. when you put all poly bushings on a car , while making it handle a lot better it can add a lot of vibration vs using rubber.

I ordered the complete kit from @cruiseroutfit and it was perfect. Literally every single thing you need in one box.

Sway Bar Refresh Kit - AFT/OEM Fits UZJ100 (Not LX470 or 100 w/ AHC) (SUS100SBKITAFT) (non AHC)
Sway Bar Refresh Kit - OEM Fits UZJ100 (Not LX470 or 100 w/ AHC) (SUS100SBKITOEM) (OEM non AHC)

I used the aftermarket one for my daily driver and the OEM one for my trail 100. Basically the same kit. Every part on the OEM kit was a Toyota part. A few bushings from the aftermarket kit were non-OEM but it's tough to see a difference. Some of the parts in the aftermarket kit are OEM parts as well.

I didn't price out the cost difference between ordering each part individually from Toyota, but the added hassle of going to the dealer or ordering online and going through each part number individually is more than I'm interested in. I'm guessing someone will calculate the costs and see how they compare, but it took me about 45 seconds to order the complete kits from a TLCA business member, HIH supporter and MUD business member. If it's cheaper to order the whole kit from Cruiser Outfitters... it's even more of a no-brainer.

Make sure you have everything you need before you start unbolting stuff. Bolts will break, I promise. My trail 100 has lived its entire life in Colorado and bolts still broke. My DD spent one winter in Chicago and every bolt broke. I had to cut the front link out.

As part of my ongoing maintenance and refurbishment of my 2000 Land Cruiser I'm freshening up the sway bar bushings and mounts. This list is for anti-roll bars only. I will be doing the control arm bushings as well in a separate list. I'm using all OEM parts.

Note: Some of the lock nuts have changed for later model crusiers - double check with toyota for the proper part numbers for your truck.

This is great info. I’m getting ready to put new bushings on my rear sway bar and end links. I’ve got an AHC (AHC disabled) LX470. Is the only difference in these parts from an AHC vehicle to a non-AHC vehicle the rear sway bar and its D—shaped bushings? I’m sure my rear sway bar is original AHC bar and I figured I’d just keep it installed. Not sure a non-AHC bar would make a difference. I’m on Old Man Emu shocks, springs and torsion bars now.

@Indiana80 Yes, just the D-bushing is different for AHC. Don't both with swapping to LC sway bar unless free. Difference is minimal. I would suggest longer links if your 100 is lifted.
