Hi all..

Ive installed a part time conversion kit in the hungy.. Bought through Marks 4x4 adaptors for $665.00 it comes with the AVM free wheeling hubs and a conversion for the transfer case...

OK for normal driving, I leave the the hubs in 2x4 and the transfer in normal driving position..(2wheel drive)

I can put it in LOW range with the hubs in 2x4 and have low 2x4 ( great for reversing heavy loads up a steep drive way )... If i want to go H4 wheel drive i click the hubs in 4x4 leave the transfer leaver and push the centre diff lock button... ( 4x4 high ).. If i want low 4x4 just leave the hubs locked in 4x4 and move the transfer leaver to L4......

I can go from L4 to H2 by just using the transfer leaver and leave the centre diff lock out.....

Great fun in some soft ground as i found out today!!!!

Check out the vid...

I'm curious about the t-case? US spec just has 4hi-N-4lo. With CDL switch on the dash. Do you lock the CDL anytime the front hubs are free?

Mmmmm, turbo diesel....:D

Nice rig man. Pretty cool setup.

This is the same kit I installed on my 07 100. As with the 80 series conversion, the difflock switch becomes the 2hi-4hi shifter, leaving the mechanical shifter to do the hi-low shifting.
Did you see any improvement in on highway MPG?

If so how much?

Fishy, aren't some 105's part time 4wd from the factory?

Some 105 come out with the part time conversion as standard, But the RV and GXL are a full time unit....
My 105 GXL is exactly the same shifting in the transfer as the earlier 100 HI-LO lever and CDL button in the dash....

Cheers for the comments guys...The main reason I got the part time kit is so i can reverse my boat up a steep driveway.... its either that, or i start spending money on replacing clutches..! easier on the truck and never a prob with the boat...

cheers fishy

Hi Phil,
There is no noise at all. Actually there is less!! With the big lift there was a vibration in the front tailshaft at high speeds 100klm or round 55mph....(angle on the Uni joints)...

Tapage... It's a Denco stage 2 with some engine mods:D....

fishy
