Some other thoughts to keep in mind:
Parting a truck out sucks. You will have parts layng around for years, I still have some stuff from my old '84 that I parted out in 2003. You will have buyers stiff you on the deal, especially once they find out that it will cost them (for example) $50 to ship the grille that you're only charging $20 for (BTDT). Set some time limits, be prepared to throw some good parts away because you will be sick of looking at the stuff cluttering up your garage.
I parted out an '87 turbo truck a couple of years ago, just to get the R151F tranny. I set a limit of one month, anything left after that went to the dump. I ended up throwing away the ENTIRE interior, it was interesting hacking up the bench seat with a sawzall. All of the scrap metal (body, frame, suspension) went into my trailer, to a local scrap yard, where they gave me $20 for it ($0.02 per lb). I found some fool to buy the entire turbo engine from me, but I had to take it to Maryland to meet him.
A carb'd 22R engine is not worth much, even if it runs well. Same for the G-series tranny. You *might* get $100 for the entire rear axle. Plan on tossing all the interior parts, unless it has the really nice SR-5 seats, those are worth a lot.
I'm serious about needing a decent hood, if you don't need it.
wheeling it after that becasue when u truly don't care about the body you do some interesting things and have a blast.
put the plow back on it, sell for $800-1000. Great plow truck, even if the frame is junk. Saves you a ton of time stripping it.
Is the frame shot all the way to the front, or just rear spring hangers back? If it is the latter, cutting at the cab and tubing would make a fun wheeling rig.
