Events/Trails Parkway Ride 2021 Oct. 22nd-24th

It’s getting near that time of year to start thinking about one of our favorite trips. I personally can’t wait to finally get back up to there to set up the teepee again and enjoy some great company and good times. The plan is as follows:

Friday
Meet at Sierra Nevada for lunch at 12:00 which I currently have a reservation for a table of 12 people. i would like for people to try to commit ASAP to this meetup so I can get another table reserved if needed. After lunch we will head to the trailhead as usual and cruise into camp.

Saturday
I am guessing we will have 2-3 groups of people doing different things during the day including head to the Pisgah Inn for the traditional lunch. I will be heading down to one of the close by streams to do some fly fishing for the day for those who want to do some hiking/exploring. There will probably be some who just hang out at camp as well.

Sunday
Pack up and head home

We will have a club dinner Saturday night which will probably be a low country boil as usual since it seems to work so well but I am open to suggestions if others want to switch it up.
I will also be updating the tri-blend tee shirts and ordering them again if there is enough interest but won’t know the price until I get a quote based on how many people want shirts. If there isn’t enough interest to buy the minimum order I will probably upload the design to reef monkey so people can grab a shirt or sticker if they want one.

The cost for the dinner will be $10/person and can be sent PayPal to info@upstatecruisers.com

Weather preparation as usual. For those who have not been on this trip make sure you are prepared for any weather including hot & sunny, freezing & snow, rain and possibly high wind.

Here’s the update on the shirts and the example of what it will look like. The shirts are $25 each and remember to order one size larger than what you normally wear if needed as these run small. We would need to order 24 shirts for them to do a run so If there is enough interest then we can go ahead and order them. These shirts are very comfortable and wear well I probably wear mine from 2018 once a week and it is still in great shape. If we move these over to Reef monkey the tri-blend shirt would cost about $40.

Yes I normally wear XL but it was snug so i got the 2X and it fits good a little loose.
