Oh I see now it is concerning the bear incident at folk art center.
So yeah obviously those closures are only affecting more heavy traffic / tourist-y spots. Also, these incidents are fairly rare but I can remember similar one up at Pisgah, at the campground, when I was still working there. Wildlife also trapped and euthanized that bear.
But as far as best interest for bears, if they are truly a problem, they euthanize. Transporting and releasing elsewhere is inhumane, as well as ineffective.
