I cant figure out why they wont turn off? Any ideas?

Everything works fine. Just started randomly. The orange corner lights and the back red marker lights, and dash guage lights are stuck on.

I need real time help, i dont want this to drain my battery.

Looking at my EWD now.
There is a relay that could be the culprit.
Try pulling the 15A "tail" fuse for now to see.

pulled all the fuses and they didnt turn off. disconnected the winch cable to see if that would fix as i just wired that up. still didnt work. disconnected the fog lights as they are wired into the parking light circuit but only for power to the switch. i just disconnected the battery for now.

are the relays behind the glove box?

thank you for your help landcrshr.

You pulled all of the fuses??? From both fuse blocks?

Put them all back in , reconnect the battery and try pulling just the large EFI MAIN fuse from the fuse block in the engine bay.

haha not at all once. 1 at a time. i will try the efi main right now.

How many volts at the battery? Mine did this when it got low FWIW

still nothing, the lights remain on with the efi main fuse yanked. wtf.

Thanks for waiting, here's what I suspect:

There is an aftermarket item (did you say fog lamps?) connected directly to your battery that uses a relay. This relay is also connected to the parking light circuit.

High current has caused the plastic body of the relay (or switch) to melt or deform enough for the battery voltage to come into contact with the parking light circuit inside.

Look for dark/discolored crimp connectors and wires too.

I just disconnected the fog lights and winch all together and i still have the problem. i do have a slee head light harness but that isnt wired into the parking light circuit. i am at a loss.

even with the relay pulled for the fog lamps the parking lights still stay illuminated.

lights that are on:
parking lights
tail lights
dash lights
radio lights
side marker lights on rear
rear license plate light.

are all these one circuit? i hope i dont have some wires melted together anywhere. is there a relay i could pull for that circuit? i can here it click over by the glove box when i use the headlight switch.

OK, bare with me, did you disconnect the Slee harness and all other items that are connected to the battery?

also why wouldnt they turn off pulling the fuses?

also why wouldnt they turn off pulling the fuses?

It something connected to the battery crossing over to the "tail" circuit, after the fuse.

a short?

well i pulled the fuse for the brake lights. with the fuse pulled they dont light up when the pedal is pressed.

blinkers dont work with the blinker fuse pulled. same with the hazards.

i did disconnect the slee harness so no headlights would come on when they are turned on. the light remains.

is there some sort of switch that cuts the power to this stuff when the drivers door is opened after shutting off the truck? i leave my head lights on all the time to act as day time running lights and everything used to turn off after turning off the engine and opening the door.
