So how do you change the parking brake cable??

I'm swapping my rear end and all was going smooth until I couldnt get the parking brake cable out of the bellcrank. I did a little searching and found a thread by @Poser from 10 yrs ago where he had a similar problem. His solution was to chop at the bell crank.

Since my cable is pretty rusted up and a replacement cable is not too expensive, I'd rather replace the cable. Every other cable on this rig has needed replacement, so why not.

BUT... the FSM doesn't seem to mention the cable other than adjusting it.

Has anyone replaced the parking brake cable? how hard is it to get the front half routed and hooked up to the pull lever?

thanks

man its not that bad. just run it rather low one weekend and drop it down. i pull them all the time by myself. pull the 2nd row out, pull the lines and connector from the top, undo the straps... its all really obvious stuff. can be dropped out and reinstalled in a day.
