Has anyone attempted painting the stock wheels in silver and if so know a paint code or is any silver ok as I'm doing all four .Front rims have got a few patches of black not sure from what and doesn't come off .

Did you try bug and tar remover?
You really should first work on getting those black "patches" off... If you paint the wheels, you don't want to paint over any unknown crap. So, try increasingly harsh cleaners, solvents. Worst case: you get the crap off, but mar the finish... then you paint
Are you looking at painting only the front wheels, i.e. matching the back? That will be tough... I'd plan on painting all four.

I'm looking at painting all four.I think someone has tried cleaning them previously and screwed them up or may be a build up of brake dust and stained etc.I tried polish no luck.
