Got it done over the past few days with some snags and some crash course phone calls with Mr. Elmariachi.
Jim is one hell of a guy. I appreciated all of his assistance.
Got everything snugged up and go to start the thing...the alarm starter kill relay kicks in and everything goes wild...I'm thinking the solenoid is shot, wires screwed up, etc.
Anyway, finally figured it out and pulled the damn alarm CPunit out for good!!
Never used the thing anyway.
Basically, same Painless set up as Jim's and 4Dalamute's except that I am using DieHard Gold's in both positions, 2 gauge wire for the terminal and solenoid connections; I hooked the winch up to the battery #2, the CB to #2, and the fog lights to #2 as well. #1 is for starting.
All is well. And I am happy. Another project down.
While I was at it too in the past few days I replaced the fuel filter and redid the starter contacts and tidyed up the engine bay with some snazzy color coded zip ties....
Thanks for all of your help gentlemen....what a great group of guys indeed.
Best regards.
