all in all, pretty well....the usual, you know, loud, smells bad....

even with the q78's which are 35.5" tall, I think it's still quicker than my stock bj70 with 4.11's. at least until 4th, probably never use 5th gear again...

I got the q78's because they were cheap, and I figgered if it was going to be soa, I might as well go the whole hog and try it out. It may not last like that tho, it's too freakin tall. if I can get it 2 or 3 inches lower, it may stay soa, but I can see it may end up with a 2 or 3 inch lift kit in it next winter.

lazy at the moment tho, so I'm just driving it as it is....:grinpimp:

Wow, Been 2 years since I took those pictures... did you end up buying that rig? Did you find it through my website? Did you get the trophies that the truck took as well? http://fjtoys.com/fj45/

Yeah, I managed to buy it from him(Earl is my grandpa). Took me quite a few years of bugging him too. I remember him telling me that he had someone trying to sell it for him, as far as the trophies go...I don't know what he's going to do with them. I'd assume he'd want to keep them with him if the truck is staying with family. When I think of it though, I think he still has the trophies for his FJ40 that he sold, so I'm not too sure on it.

new 45 in the family

there is more info posted on the 40-55 tech but here is our 1967 fj-45 we are shooting for the sept 45 run , its great to be here

Well although I have never met him, or even spoke to him......I have bought some things from Danny and talked to him on the phone.......you tell your grandad he has a Cruiser head / mechanic in rural NE Texas that considers him a true icon and hero in the Land Cruiser world.
You should feel blessed to have him as Grandpa........:beer:
What happened to the one he built with 2 front ends on it?
Are ya' Danny's son?

No, Danny is my Uncle...his youngest daughter Kathy, is my mother. I'll tell him when I see him this summer, I suppose he's still as ornery as ever though. If you ever find yourself in Montana, you could most likely stop by and have a chat with him too. The double ender, "Double Trouble" is coming back down to CA sometime, but I don't exactly know when. Jason, from his eldest daughter Linda is taking care of it now.

i'm confused. if his yougest daughter is your mom, than that would make danny your grampa and early your great grampa. or, is kathy his youngest sister?
