Scott, thats a real beauty you got there! :)

Thanks much. I really love it.

OEM rims, lift and a little cleaning to come.

I have to do Jsaltlick proud or he won't sell me the HJ47 when he sells that one!

Hello Guys,
I´m also new at this forum, I live in Finland to be more presice capital city Helsinki -> I´m sorry about my grammar (and also wrong posts)

but here is my HJ45 pickup, year 1980, 139.000km on the odometer. It is under construction but this is done so far...
2" body lift, 35" Good Year MT/R in 10x15 wheels, sand plasted and repainted frame & body, HJ60 power steering conversion, orginal PTO winch, re-done seats, front bumber "like stock", removable hard top + SOR bikini top, a lot of various stuff from SOR:fenders, weatherstrips, turn signals, hood hooks etc. etc.

Still to do:
instal air flow snorkel, ironman pushings and front bumber, bed re-building and painting, home made bushwackers and finally MOT-inspection and drill the holes for licence plates :D

Wish list:
Lockers, full-floater rear axle, summer doors

Fairly new member to Ih8mud and also new to Toyotas. I have been playing with old Land Rovers for a while of the 60’s era and my love for old 4x4’s has now spread to Toyotas. I originally started out with a 1978 FJ40 and not to long back acquired two 1966 fj45’s with the hope that one out of the two would be road worthy. They both look good—however it will take a little time and of course money before they will move under their own power. I am getting a little ahead of myself as I also have a 1981 LHD HJ47 that runs great. It’s a great truck; however the wife has been hinting to me that a vehicle with more doors would be easier to get the kids in and out of. So now I have begun researching FJ45 wagons and will hopefully be a happy owner in the near future. Unfortunately for this to happen one of the vehicles may have to be sacrificed and right now it looks like the HJ47 is heading for the chopping block. But I will cross that bridge when it comes, for now here are some photos of my two trucks and the troopy.

1980 HJ45 on the way

hj45-6-2.jpg

Just bought this 1980 HJ45 Troopy yesterday. It's currently in New Zealand. Hopefully it will find its way to my garage by June.

It's all original, even the paint. It's got some minor surface rust but no serious cancer.

A few more pics can be found at my personal blog: my blog

Northern Territory FJ45

Here is my latest project

It has factory Warn winch and hubs, original 2F and 4 speed with Full Floater rear end. As far as I know it is a factory cab chassis with an after market tray fitted. It was recentley resprayed in the original colour by the PO. He removed the front indicator lights at that time. I quite like the clean look without them but as I want to do a full restoration back to factory original I may refit them.
That will involve rebuilding the 2F and gearbox/transfer case and putting on the original 16" split rims. I would like to fit a tub on the back but I may have some trouble finding one here as the cab chassis was was a big seller for Toyota here. The dash is all original

I picked it up for 3500 Aus dollars and spent that again on a new diff as the pinnion seal was severely chopped out;p put in a new dizzy, coil, leads, brakes, front rubber flares ( for registration) rebuilt the steering box , new idler kit, new carb, park brake kit, refit original steering wheel and fixed up some of the bad wiring:)

I have some new original mirrors to fit when I get home and need to purchase the badges and fit also.

The flags are due to the fact my wife drove it in the "Ute" muster on Australia day, it was her who told me it was for sale:clap::clap:

Overall I am happy as a pig in S#%t to have a 45 and will post photos as i do the resto.

Photos to come later. :wrench: working on it

Here's my attempt at pictures - my'67 FJ45 LWB

If this doesn't work - it's due to lack of coffee or too much Canadian beer.
