My FZJ45.

hello all. i posted these pictures in a different thread but realized that i should put it here (i cannot recall if i already introduced myself).
anywho. this is my 1978 fj-45. it says on the vin plate it has a 1.5 ton capacity, which i noticed only because it has full floater axles on the rear and i've seen others without them. it's all stock: the am radio, stock fog lights (still with original bulbs), original upholstery, and everything else. it has some rust on the bed, most likely from the age and the abuse my uncle gave it when he had it.
it was my grandfather's farm truck, but he never used it heavily, mostly for going around town and looking cool. he always took good care of it, servicing it at the dealer. the turn signals need replacing, the rearview mirrors were stolen and replaced (not sure if they're OEM), the transmission shifter boot is missing. other than the repaint and the steel bed my uncle commissioned, it's all there, even the yellow factory jack.
i hope you don't think i'm bragging but these trucks are truly tanks! they whine, are slow but strong, and have great character. more importantly, it has a long family history--i remember growing up alongside it and it. i was thinking of lifting it--spring over--especially because the front springs are sagging but i rather preserve it.
here are some pics.

Hello, Landcruiser friends.

Sending you some pictures of my exfiretruck. I ahve a plan to make it more sivil to use it on the road. To mutch attention...and I am not allowed to drive with the bluelight and horns..Thats the rules her in Norway. But I will not do anything with the truck so makes it difficoult to but it back to a firetruck with its original parts. So this summer I have taken of the roof and doors to let the summer in.

Glad to see I'm not the only new guy from pbb;p ;p . Say hi to georg for me

Yes, WE NEED OLD HUBCAPS - the beater set of 5 old hubcaps on eBay just went for $150 and the fronts look like they'd been cut out with a dull hatchet.

I've been searching for old 'cruiser caps in the Springs for 15 years - not even the grungiest old hubcap and scrap shop has had any.

BOY DID I SCREW UP!!! Sold 11 of them about 6 months ago-3 with cutouts- for $100:doh: BTW I think the guy that bought them lived in Grand Junction.

Well I just wanted to show you some of my rigs, 67 FJ45 from southern Cal
