Firetruck in Norway

Hello, my name is Henning and i live in Bergen on the west coast of Norway. This is my truck. A FJ45 LWB 1972mod. This truck was built for the firebrigade in Copenhagen in Danmark. Later on it ended up in a firestation in village outside Amsterdam in Nederlands. I bought it there and drove it home back to Bergen. It still have mutch of the tools with it. The pump on the front is working and the truck is in verry good condition al over. It has only gone about 18000km. But something has happend once. In 1976 they changed the engine from an F to a 2F. Why???? I dont know. The engineand the 3 speed gears are working good. About the future of the truck, I am not sure. My idea was to ceep it as clean as possible. But I have to take away the bluelights for a dayli drive, thats the law. I can use them on spesial events. The pump is heavy, So I will take it away and put it on when it is needed.:) . Please feel free to come with some words about it.
I am sorry about my english, I hope you understand.

Kind regards

Henning

my father was born in husebo and my mother's family is from nestflatten and lono, so we know the bergen are very well.

1965 FJ45 LWB Pickup

Hi,

Here is a picture of my FJ 45 which I am currently restoring. I will post some more pictures once my digital camera gets out of the shop. It is powered by a chevy 350. I just rebuilt the Turbo 400 auto trans and have a new orion on the bench. The front end has been rebuilt with an ARB air locker. The rear end is stock for now but will also be rebuilt with ARB air locker and upgraded to a full floater.

Hi everyone,

I've been hanging around here for a while, thought I might tell you about my 45. She's an 83 model fj45 troopy that I've had since 1997. We've done lots of stuff together, like deserts and beaches and mountains, but I decided to rebuild her a few years ago to make her more family oriented. Heres a picture of us camped on the beach.
