So based on option 1 were you able to get them to light up independent of the other lights with a switch?

What a great looking product! I had AHC on my LC but no lights on the running boards. Do you know if the power/connector for the lights is present on all AHC equipped LC's or just ones with the optional lighted running boards? Guess I'll have to crawl under the truck and investigate after work

That's a good question that I do not know the answer to in fortunately. On the LX, the wiring comes out of the body directly underneath the floor where you would rest your left foot while driving (hopefully that makes sense). If yours doesn't have the connector, I would also be interested in knowing if there is an appropriate 1" diameter round hole in that location covered with a rubber seal. If so, wiring these up as rock lights in the LC would be pretty simple.

Yup! It worked out really well. If you ground just one side, while the car is on and the doors are closed, both lights come on and nothing else (door open indicator, or dome light) come on.

As an added bonus, even if you leave the switch on when you get out of the vehicle, the lights will cut off on their own after locking it up. So essentially there is no chance you could accidentally leave them on and kill the battery unless you leave the vehicle unlocked.

The only vehicle I've been able to test that on is mine though, which is an 06. I'm hoping, but not 100% certain the wiring is the exact same on the later model LX's

Would you be able to do a comparison of the 6 led lights next to the 10? Pic or even a vid like your other one? Maybe install a 6 light one on the other side of your rig and do a walk around vid?

I know you're busy, but do you think you can snap a couple of pics of how and where you ran the switch?

I will in the next week or two. I'm waiting on my connectors to get here to make sure there's nothing wrong with them before I put a large order of lights in. The connectors were supposed to be here today but got delayed due to weather so won't be here until Tuesday. I'll order the lights and hopefully have a video and more photos next weekend.

I haven't ran a switch yet as my switch will be different. I have an overhead switch panel I made and plan on running it to that. I'll snap some pictures of where you tap into the wire shortly though.

I will dig into the LC after work or tomorrow morning and snap some pics while I'm in there. Hopefully it's already there and can open these up as an option to a lot more rigs

Thanks guys! Maybe one day I'll have every variation of the 100 series (a boy can dream), but until then, ill need your help figuring out the variations between the years.

I have good news and bad news guys. The good news: The switched lights are awesome! I can't wait to have time to make myself a set!

The bad news: since it's a ground side switch and not a traditional power side switch, getting an LED rocker to light up is tough. Any switch will power on the lights, but the led indicators would only work on a 4 pole switch. I tried a small 3 pole and a 5 pole but had no luck with either. For that reason, I'm not going to include a switch in my kit. The 4 pole that worked is this exact switch: E Support Car Marine Blue LED Toggle Switch Dash 4pin Pack of 5 Amazon.com: E Support Car Marine Blue LED Toggle Switch Dash 4pin Pack of 5: Automotive

The reason I won't include it is I'm not a big fan of the switch itself. It's very dim (I question if it's actually an LED switch) and not as smooth of a rocker as many others. I don't have the money or time to buy a bunch of various switches and test them unfortunately.

I'll update the first posts with pictures of how to install a switch.

First post is updated with new pricing! I think it's still pretty reasonable for what you get. Given the various options, I'm going to start contacting people before I make their kit to determine what style and get payment. I'm planning on cranking these out 2-3 at a time. I'll update the list as I get them done.

Thanks again guys!

Sorry if someone already asked this. But can i keep my LX factory steps and install these to be switchable inside and/or in addition to the factory setup? ( I know i would have to solder/splice wires accordingly) I plan on doing sliders down the road but till then....

If it's possible then i'm in for a set of them

I don't see why you couldn't install Ramis lights to work in conjunction with factory steps. You'd either need to splice into the wires of the steps if you want both lights to work or just unplug them and connect the aftermarket plug in its place. The switch goes on the wires in the cabin so you could do that totally independent of these fancy lights.

I guess there *could* be an issue with having clearance to fit the brackets but a quick measurement would resolve that.

This could be done. As Nate said, you would have to splice my wiring harness into the factory harness to keep the step lights. My suggestion would be to just unplug the factory steps and plug my lights in. You would lose the factory lights, but mine would probably over power them anyway.

As far as clearance with the side steps is concerned, I have no reason to think they wouldn't clear. The lights come off the frame about 3-4" at most. I can't imagine that the running boards are that close to the frame. If you want to do a quick measurement from the bottom of the accumulator where the brackets bolt on (you can use my pics in the first page as reference) to the closest spot of the running board, I can tell you for sure if they will clear.

Twenty minutes to install from opening the package to discarding the trash. Simple and easy and the lights look great.

Two thumbs up, would repeat.

Hey Rami, I installed the lights on Friday and boy am I impressed!! Super easy to install and bright AF!! I love them, thanks :bounce:!! Also, I took off the running boards and my wife hasn't noticed yet, haha!:smokin: Next up WKOR sliders...

Awesome! Would love to see some customer photos.

The next 3 sets are ready to go and I will be dropping them off at UPS after work.

do you have a comparison between the 10 LED bar and the 6 LED bar?

I will definitely like to get on that list as well.
