Really liking these, more than the Slee Step Sliders on my 100 now. Maybe an upgrade is in order especially knowing what you are going for on the mounting.
Can you ship on my dime, collect on my accounts? I can have them pick it up at your location without any cost to you as long as it's ready to go.

Thread set to "watch". Whenever ready i will take it.

Got what I'm calling the "pinch weld guard" cut and welded. Still some final touches to go, but I think this is the ticket.

Weight came out at #76.4 per side, so I managed to only add #6.4 per side with the added step and protection.

These weren't cleaned up prior to welding and some of the welds were under the truck at awkward angles. When building on the jigs, they should look better.

Looks like a winner! Can't wait to see them in person.

On thing I'm trying to decide on with the pinch weld guard is the way it butts up to the 2x6.

If I butt them up flush with the top of the 2x6, it leaves a seam where the radius meets the flat edge of the guard. I don't plan to weld the entire seam as that would be unnecessary for strengh and very time consuming.

Here is said seam. Would be a good trap for dirt and moisture.

If I lower the guard to below the radius of the tubing, it effectively eliminates the dirt trap, but then it gives a false appearance that the slider is lower from the body.

In this photo, the right side of the outrigger is flush with the top of the tube and the left is low enough to butt flat against the side of the tube. The distance from the body is equal, but you can see how the right looks more snugged up to the body than the left.

I like it!

Where did you land on factory lighting integration?

That's not factory lighting. Those are my brackets and lights that you can find on the website.

I considered adding the factory lighting, but I dont have my running boards any longer. So unless someone local has a set laying around from an LX, I probably won't be able to mock it up. I'll likely add little tabs for installing aftermarket lights though.

For what it's worth I would be ecstatic if I could re-use the factory lighting in a similar fashion. That factory light bar looks amazing.

I love my Slee Slidersteps, but I'd contemplate a swap if the LX lights integrated nicely into a new offering.

You can use my running boards for testing. Just gotta remove them and let me borrow whatever prototype you have to put on my rig in the meantime (just one side), or let me borrow a smaller step/stool. My dog needs the extra step to get in/out of the back seat area.

01LX if it matters

Hmm. Does the 01' LX have the light bar? Its actually the bar that lights up the step, not the ground. Maybe we can work something out. I may be able to remove the bar without removing the step. If so, I would give you a discount on the finished product.

Borrow what you need, no worries. I'll be a customer either way amigo. If you're up for it I'll swing by tomorrow, just lemme know.

Take my money!

Those look great. The step would sure make closing up a RTT easier.

I don't think 01 has the light bar above the steps, but IMO the priority is good under truck lighting anyways.

Looks sharp! Let me know when they are ready.

Left side looks better to me.

The idea would be to use the light bar under the truck. Even if that doesn't work out for some reason, my light brackets are cheap and work well with the sliders on. Goal is to make the sliders have some light comparability built in though. Will eat into my bracket sales, but I'm okay with that.

The sliders are looking great! I'm ready for a big order: sliders, mud flaps, arb mount, and under seat mount. I suspect others are ready as well!.

I had a chance to meet Rami and see the prototypes in person today.

If you are looking for second rate, copycat design sliders that offer nothing new, you better look elsewhere.

The man knows what he's doing, and he's doing it himself to ensure it is done properly. I was seriously impressed.

Thanks! It was nice to meet you and talk shop!

I'm confused a little. What is the purpose of the pinch weld guard? I assume you're talking about the pinch weld on the vehicle.

Also, when climbing out during the rain, are these slick as owl crap like the normal sliders?

I'm sure you've answered this, but AHC compatible?

I'm seriously considering pulling my Metal Tech sliders and putting these on. I'm sure I'd have no trouble selling the Metal Tech's. What do you think your lead time will be once you have them fully offered?
