Hey there, I am hoping to get owner reviews of the 700H overtrain ride quality now that it's been out a few months. It would be great to qualify how it compares to the other cruisers and how it compares to other SUVs in its class. Thanks!

Overtrail?

Ride quality is excellent. Probably better than everything (or nearly everything) else out there.

Frame of reference for me: recently had a 2023 Lincoln Navigator (loved it), and we also currently have a 2025 Cayenne GTS (love it.) Neither felt/feel on the level as the LX700h OT.

LX700h:
Pin drop quiet inside.

Great suspension, combined with 33” tires makes for a plush ride.

Hilariously powerful. It wants to spin all 4 tires if you punch it.

Surprisingly efficient.

Transmission is “fine.” Not intrusive but not as much in the background as some other vehicles.

Engine makes a subtle “pop” when it turns on. Exhaust coming out from the tailpipe. I have literally no idea why Lexus did this. I can ignore it, but it’s frankly a pretty dumb thing for them to have not eliminated.

Power delivery comes on VERY fast, unlike the old 5.7, which slowly built power. I’ve accidentally spun tires on a few occasions.

If you can get your hands on one, do it.

The fact you appraise it as better than a unibody luxury vehicle is quite impressive. I have driven the 600 multiple times but always thought something was lacking in the ride quality, it sounds like it’s primarily the tires. I appreciate your feedback.

Agree with Canyonero, ride quality is excellent. My 200 feels bouncy and jittery now in comparison.

What's shocked me most is how comfortable it is on the trail at highway pressure (40psig). Like far far more than I was expecting.

For context I have 3,000 miles in the LX7. 100,000 in the 200.

That’s good to know as I’m thinking of replacing my 200

This is a good review.

Bleh, he lost me when he says 700's hydraulic suspension is much better than the 600's "air suspension"

Seriously, like pulling teeth.

IMO the 700h ride quality is exceptional. The various drive modes that adjust the transmission shifts as well as the suspension make a big difference. In “comfort” mode it soaks up all of the bumps very well. Moving to Sport or Sport+ changes the drive feel, but it is still very good. Comparing to the stock 2020 HE, tires being the only mod on that vehicle, it’s certainly a better highway ride and body role seems to be less in the 700h. The road noise is also great considering the stock tires on the Overtrail. All in all - I love the vehicles and a lot better driving experience in terms of power, noise and suspension than the 200 Series, but they are different vehicles in that context.

So THAT'S what it was... Just got a overtrail on Monday and thought I had a watermelon rolling around the back.
