I haven't driven either of those P-cars but I do have a 2025 Cayenne GTS with a twin-turbo V8 and it has no such nonsense associated! Just fires up like thunder and GOES. What's weird is that this is far from Toyota's first foray into hybrid. I've owned so many Toyota hybrids and they are smooth like butter.
I have a 22 Cayenne GTS and want to add a dedicated ski car. Am I going to hate driving the LX?

123 + 5k in extras like tire protection etc. wa state sales tax is 10%
Watch out, they are taking you for a ride. MSRP should be $118k or $119k and, if anything I am seeing some dealers discounting around $5k here in the south. Also, if I were you, I would drop all the extra overpriced BS offered by dealers.

10% sales tax uh? Ouch.

Just drive it; that's the only way you'll know. If it bothers you walk away for something else.

This legitimately blows me away. I got quotes on it today, with WA sales tax and dealer add on it was 156k. 156k for a car that farts. How does that even happen?!
What is a TSB?

I would describe it as the same sound as when you run over a pothole, a low frequency thump. If you don't have any music playing, you'll probably notice it because you're the one controlling when it happens through the gas pedal. But it's quiet enough to fade into the background if you're listening to music or talking to friends.

Passengers never notice it though, they just think it's a bump in the road.

Honestly, I did not have any trouble reaching out to the back of the cargo area to pull the bags. I can understand the trouble if you are a shorter fellow, but at 5 10, I can also easily reach out to the back of the trunk by leaving the tail gate closed and leaning over it.
I'm 5' 9". There is no way in heck you are reaching all the way to the back of the 2nd row without climbing in. Go try it. Your arms aren't that long.

Already did. Had no problem pulling the bags with the gate closed. Obviously if you try and reach for a little tiny item waaay in the back, not possible unless you are the Alien 😅 Like I said. It’s a trade off that works for most here. Fine if it doesn’t for you.

It is 65” from the back of the second row to the end of the lower tailgate. Your arms aren’t long enough to reach that far.

Reaching in as far as I can reach with my feet on the ground, I’m still 2’ short of the back of the second row.

If I sit on the tailgate and reach in, I still can’t reach all the way without crawling in.

This is the reality, not wishful thinking or false claims. With a regular liftgate, you would be able to reach at least 12” further into the cargo area.

I don’t know what a ski car is but if its like a dedicated utility vehicle, I would get a Z71 Suburban or pickup with a camper shell.

I wouldn’t be able to park it where I park the LX and a Suburban definitely doesn’t have the cool factor.

Nothing wrong with an LX by any means but the LX is more of a Swiss knife.

Do you need lockers?
