Hi I recently had my water pump changed, when I got it back it was weeping at the gasket. I discovered that there was no sealent on the gasket. (lots of threads on the water pump issues)

While I drained the radiator and redid the gasket with sealant, I thought it was a good time to get the fan shroud etc powder coated, now that it has all been reassembled, it is running hot.

The Top Hose and Top Tank is HOT

The Bottom Hose seems cool in comparison

Have undone the Plug in to the top of the head to make sure there is no airlock.

Any suggestions

The bottom hose should be much cooler than the top one. Buy a cheap IR thermometer and examine the system. Could be blockage inside the rad (rust, crud....) or the thermostat isn't working correctly anymore. Maybe the new pump is bad.

Did you get your Radatior powder koated OEM chassis black as well … ?

Is your fan put back on with the correct side facing the radiator?
