I know that I'm not the only one who's got to be busting their butt getting their Cruiser ready for OTMT. Who's working and what are you doing? Let's see how much gets done, offer help, etc. Kinda like a virtual hamom, or at least a virtual wrenching support group :wrench:.

As for me, the list is long and the days short, but I hope to have it all done before I head out Thursday. Here's my list in order of importance.

Put T-case back together (including doing 2-lo mod)
Reinstall T-case/transmission
Paint associated parts (skid plate, cross member, etc).
Change oil, add grease to fittings, check fluids, etc.
Finish putting sliders on
Mount Winch/bumper
Wire/mount CB & antenna
Change tires to "new to me" wheels
Paint "new to me" wheels
Paint winch bumper

Put back the swampers I took off for the trip to Carolina Beach. Dry out the gang box that filled with water when Jeri used it for the dishwashing table at Bonnaroo including replacing all the ruined dry cells and such. Put back all the camping gear I washed. Gas up. Get food. Go to Tellico.
I didn't think I would make it, family wedding with my partner Jeri's peeps, but this morning I got the kitchen pass signed. I am SO ready to get dirty.

Here's my list:

Balance and rotate and alignment so I can get there in one piece without shaking to death
Fill up Powertank
Find camping stuff after 1 year hiatus
Pack truck with too much stuff

And here's one no one else has on the list....

Pump enough milk to feed baby while gone.

eeeeeewwwwwwwww.....:princess::doh::eek:

After about 24 hours of work on the 60 this weekend, we're a little closer... Got the T-case/Transmission put back together and installed, need to put the shifter boots on and fill with oil. Got the winch bumper painted. Man, when I write it out, it sure doesn't look like much, but I busted my @$$ all weekend.

I should finalize the tcase/tranny tonight, and take a test drive, and hopefully get the bumper and winch on tonight... Anyone else make any progress?

I picked up a 2F from Columbia this weekend, moved a bunch of furniture, but made basically no progress on packing and prep for OMT. I hope to get everything done Mon and Tues night.

List from this weekend.

drain radiator
remove valve cover remove head bolts and clean them reinstall
Fill radiator
Mount radiator
install throttle cable
install new gas pedal
Remove steering box and mod retaining bolt
Bend and install new exhaust pipe connecting old and new exhaust
Weld wrap bar
Install parking brake
Drill and extract bolt broken on rear parking brake mount
Torque rear pinion
Install front and rear drive shaft
Install 4wd linkage
Install clutch cover
Set initial timing on motor
Check for leaks
Fill T-case and top off trans
Check for leaks
Install air filter
Mount front bib
Install new clutch line, master and then bleed the system
Start motor and break it in at 2000 rpms for 20 min.
Check for leaks with a flashlight

All this while taking care of my daughter and my wife who has developed bronchitis.

My current list

Install shocks
Adjust valves
Drain oil and replace along with a new filter
Put seats back it
Put front sheet metal back on
Install rear engine mount bolts

Clean coolers
Go buy food for 50 people
Go to RHT and pick up stuff
Go pick up t-shirts
Get trailer
Pack Trailer
Pack my camping stuff.
Sit down for 2 hrs and figure out what I'm actually going to do this weekend and what I'm going to say.

Torqued everything that had six sides to it.

Got my middle skid all figured out with the help of the guys at ACC. There were four bolts that held it to the stock cross member. All four weld nuts mounted inside that cross member had popped loose and I couldn't tighten or remove the bolts. We got them all out and then reinforced the skid laterally where it touches the cross member with some steel bar stock. Also re-established a comfortable gap between the exhaust cross-under (cross-over is not technically accurate ;)) and the surface of the skid plate.

Then we removed the CAT protection bars (those diagonal handlebar looking pieces that go from the frame to the cross member). Swapped them from left to right and amazingly they bolted right up to the frame and lined up with the leading edge of my skid. Measured and marked everything and then tacked the bars to the skid. Then everything came off and full welds and a little bit of angle iron were added. A little more red paint and now I'm back in business.

Will be bringing your new stereo on Saturday plus the SWR meter if still needed. So, just a few more things you can do.

Well, after everything that has gone wrong this month there is still the slightest possibility I'm going to make it. The transfer rebuild to a lot longer than expected due to waiting on an output shaft to make it overseas, but should be done by Wednesday. The OME lift never came after 4 weeks of waiting, so I finally cancelled it this past week. I guess I'll be rolling stock everything if I do make it. Hope to see everyone there, wish me luck.

This must be a theme in the 60 world. What I thought might take a long weekend, has been about 2 weeks of nights and weekends...

Best of luck in your rebuild. It actually goes pretty quick once you get everything cleaned up and start putting it back together.

If you have any questions, feel free to ask, it's fresh on my mind...

AWESOME  Those things will be very nice, since right now my stereo doesn't work at all... Thanks again!

DOn't worry about being stock. You will be just fine. There will be at least one group that will take an easy way.

I'll be in that group!:hillbilly:

4, 5 and 6 will be good to run for the stockers. I'll run these but will probably make an excursion to the bottom of Guardrail. There is nice little climb going to there but I won't be running Guardrail until the Piggie is back in action. I also might go up Upper Two just a little bit. I'm hesitant to go too far until I get skids and a winch.

Now onto my prep last night. It might not sound like much but I was tasked (ordered) by the :princess: to get some work done around the house before I left...so the grass was mowed, garden picked, trees watered, wife's dog kicked, and finally I got to do a little packing. I'm picking up food and some oil today, getting my tires balanced today maybe, and hopefully packing the majority of my gear tonight! :bounce::bounce2:

Yeah...you don't want a letter from the HOA in the mailbox when you get back.:p
