ORS’s New Rock Buggy Build

We are starting with a clean slate. Building a full tube frame, custom rock buggy. We haven’t started too much work on it yet, but the plans for this rig are pretty wicked.

We haven’t come up with a name for it yet, but that will come with time!

The tube chassis will be 1.75” and 1.5” DOM tubing
Some of the drivetrain will be from Baby, our last build.
-Dual Toy T-cases
-Diamond Axle Front based on FJ80 parts
-T-100 Rear Axle with full float
-5.29’s and ARB’s
Chromoly shafts
New Drivetrain Additions
-2UZ-FE V8 from the Tundra
-Tundra A340 Auto Transmission
It will be a 4 seater
4-link front and rear suspension with 17” Bilstein coilovers
42” TSLs
(47”s later on - other mods like axles to go with the tire change)

Through the efforts of this build we are hoping to bring a new vehicle to the market.

We will post updates with pictures and specs throughout the build

Looking forward ..

Questions .. with fuel pump plan to use with the 2UZ ?

Where you found the adapter from the A340 to the BF1A split case ( thought this it's what you gonna use )

47" with the 80 ( longfiedls ) thought = birf . ? are not too much ?

42” TSLs on chromoly's (47”s later on - with some other mods like axles) hope that clarifies :)

fuel pump = no idea yet, but we want to try and find something to use inside the fuel cell.
marlin crawler for the adapter :)

Wanna se this front axle .. :D

Mmmm it means Marlin coud have a A343 to BF1A adapter .? .. interesting ! just wonder if could exist a A442 to BF1A adapter ..

when you get info about the fuel pump .. please post it here .. coz I read in the web that the Tundra with the 2UZ engine have a 2 speed relay setup for the fuel pump ..

Yea we will definitely be posting pics and details etc of what we put on there as more progress happens. Right now we just have the floor chassis built :)

Thanks for all the interest!!!!

 And this is a shop building this

How bout the new Tundra rear diff (37 spline)? Is there an ARB for this diff yet? Cut off the outers & replace w/ Rockwell steer knuckles. You're gonna need a 10" ring gear min. to handle 47's IMO.

see the quote directly above this :)

So hopefully it clarifies..

When we decide to go to 47"s, other mods will happen as well, including axles. :D

Got the floor and main hoop tubing done and tacked in. Lookin good so far! We have a 3D buggy now so thats an awesome motivator to keep the progress going :)
