For sale: 1998 J105 in exceptional condition.
For anyone unfamiliar, the J105 is an OEM combo of J100 body & J80 coil-sprung F&R solid axle chassis; sold in mainly Australian, African, South American and Russian markets.
Was a 1 owner vehicle; AUS National Fire Service logistics truck. It was purchased new in Adelaide, South Australia in 1998 (still have original dealer's sticker in rear window). Always stored indoors. Rust free--underside is truly clean enough to eat off of.
Vehicle details;
Upgrades based on reliability, safety/security, AUS theme;
Full transparency; there are some minor blemishes like some scuffs on front bumper, bumper missing one black rubber strip below headlight, a difficult-to-see dent on RR door, some holes on interior trim from AUS NFS having previously mounted communication equipment, due for another alignment.
This has been a dream rig for me for quite some time. I’m only selling it earlier than expected because I have new opportunities for remote work/travel, which involves a different rig, where the J105 will be sitting at home--I’d rather see someone else also fulfill their dream and create some awesome memories with this world-class J105.
I'm at $52,400 firm, to someone who will treat this right and with lots of care as it's a rare specimen. I don't know of one in the US in this condition, maybe only a few in the world squirreled away in this condition?
One of the AUS license plates will stay with me. Clean Oregon title in hand. Not interested in trades. Serious inquiries only; no time wasters please.
Located in Central Oregon. I can pick you up at the Redmond, OR airport for your drive home.
Happy to answer any questions.
