The CM scalping isn't nearly the obsession around these parts that it once was, but there are still some examples in every neighborhood. Seemed like it was every tree even just 10 years ago.
My half of the neighborhood is filled with clusters of untrimmed 30+ year old azaleas. There's a solid 2 week difference in full bloom depending on which side of the street they're on. They're also slowly dying off for the past 5 years leaving some giant gaps to fill.
