and THIS is why finding a nice, stock TJ (much less a Rubicon) that isn't priced sky high is almost impossible

We usually think having lockers is the kind of thing that keeps people OUT of trouble ..... unless you own a heep.

No real definite plans Rice. I buy them for "stock" This one has a straight body, frame and suspension, broken windshield, needs a headlight and rear light and the interior is wet and has some mold starting.

I'll dry it out, kill the mold and cover the sun roof before I put it in line. It ran a year ago and then sat until Dec 15. A mechanic told the PO it needs a new motor, probably just did not wish to mess with it. It may end up getting a swap and an overall refresh and sold, might end up donating the frame and suspension to go under another LC body.

We have 5 now, one Heather has been driving for two years, $500 truck, has a wrist pin knock. Another had a blown motor, straight body and clean interior, it has been stripped down, frame stripped and painted, all new bushings and now has the body back on, all new body mounts and is awaiting a swap and paint. The third donated a brand new lift kit to the one the frame is done on. 4th and this latest one are still untouched.

stan, do you by chance have a 93-94 exhaust y-pipe down that way? It's the one right after the cats.

I will check to see for sure Eric but I doubt it. I generally cut all the exhaust out with a sawzall. The 80 I just bought is an 94 but I wont be messing with that truck for a bit. You want to come and pull it you can

Thanks for the offer, might take you up on it if i get a chance to head over that way. right now i am collecting the parts needed. the aftermarket cat(s) haven't rusted through yet, but it's coming. The last guy to work on the exhaust cut the y-pipe to make the cat fit. wasn't really happy about that, but he had already done it when i got there to pick it up.

Was hunting down leaks when I noticed this separation between welds. I was thinking I would use a large punch to straighten it a bit and then cover with silicon. Does anyone have a better suggestion? Maybe welding it closed from the start is the better way to go...

The fender does not look that bad Eric, at least from the photo. May be able to straighten it back out.

Whoa ..... super bummed to see that, Eric. Hope it will buff out.
