I bench tested the alternator with the exciter powered, found out minimum 3volts a/c. then tied in for the Dakota Digital. their new unit also integrates speedo input, so i also get to correct for my 315’s. Win win.

Now we have tach input to the dakota

I was super close to snatching their hybrid, but with exchange rates it was like 1800 plus shipping. Benz injection has got one as well. I really should have gone that route, so much simpler and cheaper. If only this turbo didn't say Toyota on it. HA
My experience with Benz Injection has been quite disappointing so far. I purchased injectors from him, and unfortunately, all six of them leaked. To make matters worse, I also bought a lift pump from him, and it also leaked. The customer service was virtually nonexistent, and I strongly advise potential buyers to exercise caution.

Now im stressing, you're the second disgruntled customer, with injectors specifically. Anyone have a good experience? @turbodizzle how/where did you get injectors? did he refund you? Thanks

I ended up getting new injectors from Dpump UK. No, after some back and forth he sent replacements which also had issues. I just cut my losses and moved on.

I ordered a lot of stuff for my swap from benz injection last year, including my motor. There were a number of issues with everything right off the bat and he did what he could to resolve them. Ended up giving me a partial refund also. I haven’t ran the engine, injection pump, lift pump, and injectors I got from him yet so I’m hoping everything will be ok.

Hey guys,

Finally time for an update. SHE RUNS!!
My started was super weak, so I bought this little gem: 1999 Mercedes-Benz E300 Turbodiesel - Electrical - Switches, Motors, Relays, Fuses & Wiring - (Starters, WOSP Starter Motors) - https://www.pelicanparts.com/cat/v_mbz-1999-e300-turbodiesel-sedan/elswch_starters
A gear reduction starter. Very needed to get fuel to where it needs to be. It was cranking to death before. I don't have any video yet, but everything is functioning great with the Sean Tracy stage 2.

But I hit a snag...Transmission.

I upgraded to a transgo kit and a valvebody rebuild. My shifter will not phisically shift into L. Only park and forward gears work. Manually shifting the selector underneath the truck seems to be missing the the distinct 7th click for L. Reverse is also a forward gear. I also noticed that in Park, the engine is underload as I throttle, and will not rev freely.
I feel like I spent a massive ammount of time making sure I did't screw anything up, and was very organized, all was labeled. Trans and factory computer are plugged in. does anyone have any advise before I tear the valve body back out? Trans worked great before and now I have regrets not waiting until after the swap to dig into it. Thanks

My experience so far with Shane has been great, and seems to always answer the phone and help me. I was really stressing on the injectors. I will say that it has a little bit of nailing, about 5 seconds after startup, and starts to lighten as it is idling. Shane said that it should subside within about 200 miles due to machining specs he uses, and was normal. I can't idle too long as I have coolant, but had to pull the belt(my alternator was backfeeding and I have a new Bosch reman on the way from Pelican parts). Did you just have nailing or leaking after the motor was off? How would one determine that? I'll check mine for sure.

I tested my rebuilds from him before putting them in the engine and they were all sorts of messed up. He offered to refund me or send out some New ones he’s having made in Germany. I opted for the new ones. I’ll update when they arrive.
