We just might have a friend in a very high place that might have a warm spot in his heart for old iron that might be able to turn a few screws on getting the Ford going.

:hmm:

I think I might have mentioned many moons ago that the BioPark Director has a brother that collects and restores old John Deere tractors. Rick was the person that gave the green light to purchase the Farmall.

Well, Linda had a chat with Rick this morning. She told him how popular the Farmall was in the parade. Told him about the Mayor coming out to the farm to look at the Farmall. Told him that the Mayor tracked down the Farmall while staged for the parade. Suggested to him that it would be cool to have two tractors in the next parade.

He liked the idea. The seed is sown. :steer:

We also need follow-up on the chick. I'm now more interested than I was back when you first posted in Nov '09. Use it or lose it. :flipoff2:

Chick is retiring end of December.

Jon, not sure if I mentioned it, but there is a similiar Farmall tractor for sale on Morris, but a smaller version. I have seen there for a while, but in the last couple of weeks I have seen a "for sale" sign on it. When I passed by today, it looked like someone was looking at it. Looked like they took it for a spin. Did'nt know if you knew about it or interested for that matter.

I would really like to have a shed of old tractors at the farm. But, we already have the Farmall, and the Ford that doesn't run. I don't think the boss would go for a third.
