Picked her up in Atlanta from Merbesfield here on the board. It has been for sale since June or last year and I have been eye hearing ever since..... my pops finally decided it was time to pull the trigger and join the rest of us Land Cruiseraholics :grinpimp:

Overall for the price I think she is in very good condition compared to many I have seen. The flloors are very solid with the exception of a few areas and there is one bad rocker on the dirvers side and one rear quarter that will need to be replace. It is very original with the only items missing being the front bench seat and the front heater other than that it is all there

Plans are for a full body off resto. and staying bone stock...... me and my pops will be doing all of the work except for the the paint job we will sub. out to a professional shop.....

Okay enough rambling on my part...... look for a build thread coming soon!!!

and time for some pics

We drove all the way home last night through a blinding rain storm so we didn't get to unload the old girl until this morning..... Our first challange was to solve the age old problem of how to unload a vehicle from a trailer that neither runs nor has brakes???? Luckily we found a way to solve our delima in a way that incorporated more cruiser action!!

After we got the old girl unload unharmed and onto the solid ground the first task at hand was to remove the few glaring none cruiser pieces parts...... so the old girl could fee like herself again:hillbilly:

Somewhere down the line a PO installed house hold carpeting on the floorboards throughout which had me very concerned because that usually just begs for rusty floor boards. Luckily this PO was smart enought to treat the floor with waht looks like POR-15 or something similar before putting down the carpet. Also he added a layer of cut-up rubber welcome matts under the carpet to add some cushioning, I guess. The worst part of it was the 100 sheet metal screws he used to attach all this.......... but after an hour or so of removing screws we were able to get the carpet out (which was soaked from all the rain last night) and find the floors underneath in better than expected condidtion

We also pulled out the old bucket seats up front......

Finally we gave it a good thorough vaccuming and cleaned out years of sand and gunk that had built up. Now she is sitting out in the sun with all the doors open letting everything dry out

Might want to unhook the battery or all the interiors lights being left on will drain the battery.

;)

Very nice. I'm gonna assume that it's going to get the dual SD40's and offy? That certainly would be a sweet setup on that.

You know it my brother!!! Since that would be a period correct mod. it is a win-win in my books......

on a side note I am now up the 6 SD40's :hillbilly:

Congrats on the new girl.

It is kinda like having a kid, your dad is going to throw money at her and you will eventually, hopefully, get the benefits of all that. Just like spoiling a grandchild. My son will cry for something, and I'll say lets wait until this weekend and maybe granddaddy will get it for you.

So when are you going to sell me one so I can try to get them reproduced?

thanks...... it will be nice for once to not be financially invested in a cruiser project; I get to have all the fun with none of the heart ache :grinpimp:
