I'd kill for a shop like that to work in whenever I want. I do my work in the driveway, even when it's -30°C out and snowing!! Paint me jealous...

I used to do the same years ago, but now I've gotten so spoiled that I won't even check my oil without going to the shop first

Every toy you could imagine (24 lift bays, super stretch alignment machines, 3 dynos, a brake testing skidpad, full body and paint shop with 3 booths, complete diag equipment, etc., etc.)

Best of all, it was open 24/7 on one of the busiest streets in NYC

Prep work looks great. What's the verdict on the texture?

It's not what I wanted, but It actually doesn't look too bad

My biggest gripe is that it doesn't match the texture of the black

Had the Scorpion rep stop by today and he liked it, but suggested that I could sand it down and re-texture, but if worse comes to worst, I'd prefer to redo the black to match

I'll post pix as soon as I'm done putting her back together....

OK, a few pix with her almost back together....

The original bumper got smashed by a freezer and Mike @ BIOR won't be able to start my custom winch bumper until March, so I'm gunna hack the current bumper a little and stick it back on later today

I still need to give her a good wash and detail cause she's covered in bondo dust

I think it looks great! That is pretty thick texture, but I don't think it looks like a "screw-up"... At least it appears to be consistent.

What are those little black things on your front flares? Lights/blinkers?

It can easily be done at home as long as you have a proper air supply

If you don't, I think Al's can also be rolled on

Basic automotive door edge trim

An $8 buck roll will do all the flares and have about 5 feet leftover
