No offense intended :D

BTW, who told you that Alcan springs were "short"? All their springs are custom designed to conform to each customers specific needs. Making the general observation that their springs are short , which implies that they're too short, seems, well, too general.

Just what I read doing a search.

I am happy with the 4" Downey set up that I just installed. I used there 1-1/2" shackles up front and there 2-1/2" shackles in the rear with there shackle bolts with greasable zirk fittings. As for the frame fixed spring pins, I used Old Man Emu. Jim @ Downey was very helpful and even has special bushings for matching up to the O.M.E. spring pins. They also carry the Bilstein shock line.

After reading many posts on this subject, this is the way I'm going to go. Best bang for the buck, IMO..

I went with 4"skyjackers and then topped it off with EMU shocks (not shown in pucture) almost went with bilsteins though.

Happy with 4" Skyjacker Softride...

The first couple of weeks they were kinda stiff, but know there breaking in.... more plush,Not bad at all considering leaf springs...so im happy.

x3 on Hellcreek

i ended up trading a softtop for my 3" lift (idk who made the springs im a little ashamed of that now that i think about it.... but i guess thats part of growing old you start forgetting stuff)

but back in the day when i drove a HEEP i bought a 6" all spring kit from them and really liked it
and their prices were the best when i looked at them...

Shackle reversals were big 10 years ago. Not so much these days. Go SOA and be done with it.

Happy with 4" Skyjacker Softride...

I ran these springs SUA for years and out of all the friends I knew with 40's and those I saw on the trails - the softride springs flexed the best and rode the best. Althought they did settle down lower the fastest.

I would have choosen the EMU lift....but they dont offer 4" inch through my research the skyjackers and other lifts are immitations of of the EMU...but who knows....
