Ok Fellow 40's Mudders - I need your Help to make it happen .....

So far @YoYoHo ALL your concept ideas and plans have been VERY well thought out

There's no FSM for doing what your doing .....................................

Thanks !

Pay it forward ... I have been lucky in life and when I see someone like Kevo who did nothing to end up in a situation like he did then I can't help but think how I would feel if my Shop and House burnt down ... I know getting him a Pile of 40 Series stuff won't fix it but my gut feel is showing him the community cares and are willing to get off their Ass and make a real effort is just as important as the parts.

I have a few surprises in store to go with the deal so hopefully his first piece of New garage Art will not only put a smile on his face for years to come but remind him that even when your world goes to s*** there are still enough good people in society that are willing to lend a hand that it ain't all bad.

All that being said I can say for sure that one guy dropping off a beat up old cruiser ain't real special, when a community comes together and can drop of parts and wishes from many .. now that is when a small idea becomes something special.

Hope these will come in handy. mark them off if anyone has a list. This is way better than wedding gifts! I will get them in the mail in a day or two.

Yes please I will send u my shipping address

Wish I could participate in the relay from San Diego to Paradise. Sounds like fun.

Your disc brake front end will be there with us but feel free to come over for a drive :)

I am in the Bay Area, 30 miles south of San Francisco. I can trailer it from here to Kevin, and keep it at my place until he is ready. I have a pile of parts as well. This is super cool, as I was at his place a week before the fire, still can’t believe he lost everything.

Awesome so we need to get it from Bakersfield to your place and you can sit on it as long as possible. That is a very important thing as it means that we can have flexibility on when we move it up there.

Can you post a list of the parts you have which you are willing to donate so I can keep the list up to date.

Thanks

We might be able to get it closer to San Gregorio. Maybe another hour up from Bakersfield.

Would a 73 radiator and shroud work for a 77? I have both in very good shape I'd love to donate. Also have a powder coated front axle housing also from my 73.

No idea maybe @65swb45 or @orangefj45 can tell us . I would think it might but I am a diesel guy :)

The Trip

Start - Valley Center CA

Leg 1 - @YoYoHo - Valley Center to Corona

Leg 3 - Bakersfield - Bay Area ???
Leg 4 - Bay Area - Kevo's Place @whitey45

@YoYoHo i have a hardtop Fiberglass top!
But it doesn’t have the metal frame attached to it? Is it useless or can it work? It’s off a 63-8/76 hard top.
If it it is usefull I will donate that.

I have a hood but it’s an early split hood. Kevo might prefer it!

I will see what @kevos37 chimes in with

Since @whitey45 has radiator and shroud, I have seat brackets for stock bucket seats.

Awesome I will update the parts listing

Since we currently have no roof I would think it is a good start
