There's a squeaking sound when I put it in reverse?

Solenoid pack?

Your idle should be 600-650.

Since it has not had battery power and been running, it has to re-learn all of its operating parameters. This will take 30 or so key cycles of starting and driving.

The driveshaft U-Joints may squeak if not lubed in a long time and not used as well.

Transmission pan pulled off. Here are pics. Looks SUPER dirty. Where do the magnets go in the pan?? The dirt of my finger was from touching the filter.

The transmission looks normal. The screen can be cleaned and reinstalled. Be careful not to over service it with fluid or you have to drain some off.

Was there any debris/sediment on the bottom of the pan, or was it all stuck
to the magnets as in the top photo?

There was some but not a lot. The FIPG was shot, leaking all over the fricken place.
Everyone has been griping about expired Toyota FIPG.

If I was doing it, I would use Permatex "The Right Stuff, BLACK" in the cheez wiz can. Make sure you get black. This stuff sets in 5 minutes and it means it, but you can also put oil against it in 10 minutes. It is expensive, but available from O'Reillys and other FLAPS. It's like $25 per can.

This is NOT the same stuff in the squeeze tube from Permatex.

Re use this strainer or buy another one? Gasket looks decent but not sure if it will get a good fit.

I can’t feel that gasket from here but it does looked a bit aged. I’d probably replace it now and then never be concerned about it ever again.

The FSM (see post #170 above) says to "install a new gasket" (agree) but I don't recall ever seeing a separate part number for it. So it seems that the only way to get a new gasket is to buy a new strainer assembly.

I had some PMs about the Autozone Duralast Transmission Filter and Gasket (Rubber) so I went to Autozone and ordered one to compare it. It arrived today. It's made in Taiwan. The pictures with 2 filters in it, the right is OEM and the left is Duralast. All single pictures are of the Duralast filter.

Here, cork gasket is Duralast, and not exactly the same distance the pictures were taken (tried to make it the same distance).

Here's the toyota filter I got from the dealership today. Left is toyota, right is Duralast. Single pics are the toyota one. Both have cork gaskets.

I know the level is low, but I don't want to overfill it. I checked the level of the trans fluid after flushing etc and then I took it for a drive to make sure I got a good read on the dip stick.

How much do you think I need to add to get it to the correct level?

The word "Level" I wrote in red below is the level it seems to be reading after a few checks consistently.
