Your e-brake is probably on. :bang:
Are you freakin kidding me!!! Was it really because I had me Freekin E brake on?!
No way!
I’ll be doing the DWs 570 here real soon, and I promise you this, I will make sure to know what the Fk I’m doing prior to doing it!

I will check this out, you can count on it!

😂

It's not if you get the proper setup. I actually prefer it. Get this:

Amazon product ASIN B08L3HLKHB
Ken, I actually ordered the Fumato drain valve for the 200 and another exact copy for the FJ62 today. I saw Amazon offering the drain kit for the filter housing and wondered if it was any good. They have one with a nipple for a hose and apparently there is a canister housing with a drain valve or fitting and hose for it too.

I should have added you'll need to get wheels off the ground since you'll need to turn the drive shafts to orient the zerks so you can access them.

I do one end at a time.

heh

Had a hard time deciding where to post this, but it’s time for oil changes, on both, and I’d love to be able to just buy one brand of filter and one brand/weight of oil.

Are the oil filters the same on a 2007 LX470 and a 2015 LX570?
Which filter is better, OEM, Mobile 1 (102 or 209) or WIX?
5/30, 0/40 M1 Oil?

Yes, I read the “old” thread, of a host of opinions, which actually helped me to narrow down the choices of filters and the likely oil I will end up using, I think.

Both are driven in and around the Sacramento to San Fransisco areas. LX570 is a 15 mile per day, to work and back, driver mainly (wifes garage queen.) LX470 is mine, and I retired, so I drive it when and where I want, but generally put no more than 10k per year on it; it’s at 144k now.

I’ve never changed the oil, or anything else for this matter, on these myself. Time to start. BTW, I do change my own oil in my RV, 12 quarts of diesel; it’s really easy.

Also, any really good drain pans out there, to make the job less messy? and a way to carry the old oil to a disposal station?

Anxiously awaiting comments….
I recently replaced oil/filter in my 2004 LC & 2013 LX. For my 100 series, I went with M1 EP 5W-30 oil and M1EP premium oil filter. For the LX, I went with Toyota 0w-20 oil and Toyota 04152-YZZA4 Oil Filter. I installed jowett filter housing and ez drain valve at the same time. Looking forward to the next oil change.

So you like the drain valve, ok.
What brand valve?
I used M1 5/30 syn in my 470, M1 209 filter
I will use NAPA platinum filter and M1 0/20.
With 5-7500 mile OCI, unscrewing the pan bolt isn’t that often of bad. If the valve pours out easier, then that’s a different story.

Thanks!

Bought all the parts from fellow mud member @bjowett.
