All,

It was decided at the Meet and Greet to start the beginnings of the club purchase of a brand new Grillman Grills pig cooker with side burner and deep fryer.

Cost: 2,236.50, 10% off list, as they give a non-profit org. discount

Pics are here:

So, here's the specifics:

1. $100 member buy in if you want unlimited use of the pig cooker, on weekends that the club does not use it (rides). Must be a paid up member. Scheduling it is first come first serve via the website.
2. Club will make up the remaining cost after buy in time is over. There will be a vote from all members to agree on the club funds.
3. Non-buy in members can rent the pig cooker for $25 a weekend, also if they are in good standing. Scheduling priority is 1. Club 2. Buy-in member 3. member. But, once scheduled, a buy-in member cannot bump another member for the weekend.
4. General maintenance is done by the club with club funds. If something happens due to a member's actions, then it's their responsibility. Member refills/exchanges tank when done.
5. Other rules can get added once the ball is rolling.

I'd personally like to get this thing going so that it's available to the club for the Tide Ride and GSMTR if possible.
Let's see if we can get about 10 people to sign up, so it will be a split of cost 45% for buy in members and 55% for the club.

I'll chime in and be the first committed buy in member.

Remember, you have to be a paid up to date member, and it's $25 to rent for the weekend, if you did not put up $100 for the initial purchase.

Also, please be sure to clean it after use. We need to keep this thing in pretty good shape. Built up grease is nasty and can result in a nasty fire - ask Meatball.

OK, here's my request for Labor Day Weekend 28AUG-01SEP... yes it will be clean before Logan's Run, and I'll watch my back for rouge immigrants...

Nice! Looks like you gave her a coat of wax even :D

If we have a 6:30 or later game this year, I'm hoping to cook another pig at tailgate again. That was a blast and for whatever reason (probably the quality of the meat), the best hog I've ever cooked. When you have people from Rocky Mount and other Eastern towns telling you it's the best Q they've had, you know something went right. Now, the goal is to replicate that result!

Not sure if we have an official reservation place (we used to do it via the schedule on the old website) but I'd like to reserve the pig cooker for the weekend of December 16-19 for Graduation 2016.

We never ended up implemented anything via the website due to lack of interest.

The cooker will be at my house waiting for you Brian :D

@Roxx this is the cooker thread. $25 a weekend.

@neslrac @alk747triodad is the cooker at the barn?

@jrmudder92 do you have the cooker up at your place?

Well whoever has it, please make sure that it's taken back to the barn by the Xmas party (or find someone to drop it with that's willing to bring it when they go)....

No we left it at the barn. Last year under the barn. On the right side. Looking at it. @GLTHFJ60

It is not at the barn. Last I saw it, Mr. Rives was taking it back to the capital city. That was at least a year ago.

Welcome to store it at the barn since we now have room from the HAMOM.

@alk747triodad are you sure it's not there?
