people have towed that much with a 3fe. If you search the 80 section you will find threads. I wouldn't really want to nor would I do it without at least upgrading the brakes to a 1fz kit. That being said I wouldn't really want to tow with a 1fz 80 either. I've towed with both and they aren't really towing machines. They "ok" on the flats. If you are looking to tow id keep the suburban. Way more spacious and comfortable than am 80 to tow long trips with. Or if you want to go yota, think sequoia or 100 series. If not going to wheel it at all go sequoia as they are thousands cheaper than 100s in similar condition.You think at 4k it's a decent price?
