I’ve come to the realization I won’t have time to do anything with my ‘73 FJ40 project anytime soon, so I’m offering it up here locally. I have some extra parts for it, the rig can be purchased with or without the extras.

Pollux orange factory soft top 1973 FJ40 for sale. The Pollux orange FJ40s aren’t very common. Fairly solid rig with clear Virginia title. I have owned the Cruiser for about 8 years. It’s been stored inside the entire time I’ve had it, was under a tarp in a field when I bought it.

The Cruiser is not currently running, I do not know the condition of the original F-engine. I was planning to do a 2F swap. I did clean and prime the floorboards soon after buying it.

There are a couple of places in the floorboards that need repair. There is some rust in the rear quarters, but not terrible. The tailgate and rear sill have the worst rust.

I did swap in 1979 FJ40 axles (that I’d prefer to keep depending on the potential buyer) but have the stock axles I removed. The Cruiser is stock and original other than that and the rear cutout flares.

Located in Roxboro, NC.

Pricing:

1973 FJ40 with stock axles = $5000
1973 FJ40 with 1979 axles = $6000

1973 FJ40 with following extras = $8500
2F engine
4-speed transmission, t-case, driveshafts
OEM FST frame
OEM rust free tailgate
New CCoT rear quarters
OEM roll bar

I'll try to get out the the storage unit today.

Couple things as I’m working to clear out the garage. Pick up in Durham.

Puma PD-1006F 12v DC air compressor. Bought it with plans to put it in the 60 but realize I don't want to give up the space to mount this with my current layout. Bought it from a member here. Asking $200 OBO

Winch is sold. Compressor still available.

Looking for a decent core FJ80 A440F (3FE) torque converter to send out for rebuild as I suspect the lockup seal in mine is borked.

Also a swing out tire carrier rear bumper for said FJ80.
My two A440F and converters should still be at @GarnerFJ40 house. If he doesn't want it then you can have one.
Shoot him a PM or call him up

Anyone have some 80-series tcase parts kicking around, maybe close’ish to Raleigh? Pretty sure my main gear set hi/low shift fork is bent.

Wtb: hi/low shift fork & the thinner center section of the case.

I respect that, as much as I love my vehicle I realize the value lost on a 300k sequoia. Hence the cheap solution. I must say it really is impressive when I look at some of your guys rigs and they look like they’re brand new.

In need of a good roof top cargo box for the 200 if anyone has one. Needs to a minimum of a 56x11x11 interior to fit my tent, but the bigger the better.
It's finally home. Again. The inside dimensions are 22x78. It's a Thule Summit model.

Now that it's out of its cage, it has to go; I'm not lugging it back to restore it. Thule only made "connectors" (which are U-bolts) for their own rack system. You'll have to get some allthread and make your own.

I had it on a Thule rack that clamped onto the drip rails. Since your 200 doesn't have drip rails, that won't work for you.

I also have two bike racks and one bike-on-hitch carrier that I need to get rid of. The racks are Thule, the hitch carrier is something or other; the label fell off. Photos to follow.

Apparently, everyone now has spare parts for mounting these things...

Anyone itching to get into a Harley ?

It’s almost a Bob Free special which a select few will understand. (Pops was the guy that waxed the spokes 🙄) Impeccably maintained. Intentionally built. Stupid clean.

4k in chrome
4k in engine/exhaust mods
$4k price.

Plenty of regalia and gear for a 5-10” 150# guy/gal

Has sat inside under cover and tank liner delaminated despite Non-e premium for life. Have a Eastwood tank liner kit. Tank removed and needs lined and likely carb cleaned/rebuilt, and maybe new tires (been on a ctr stand but they are aged)
