Not sure what is happening however a friend just sold a 8 out of 10 1999 LC with a broken sunroof for 13k. It has 217k miles. If you are thinking of selling a 100, now may be a good time. The buyer is flying in from TN and it was sold on FB marketplace.

I'm getting closer to letting mine go (likely soon after Xmas) so this is a good data point. Been thinking about pricing for it at 227k miles.

The biggest question he kept getting was the t belt change. SO he went ahead and did that. It's a good way to set the next owner up with no major expenses. He actually raised the price the amount of the t belt change and had even more people contact him. I feel like we are in a bizarro selling world right now.

Also, FB marketplace is by far the best place to sell right now.

Agreed, FB Marketplace has replaced CL for vehicles sales. It'll likely be where I post mine.

I believe we have COVID to thank for the uptick in LC sale prices. Everybody is opting outside for vacations and R&R. The same is true for swimming pools, RV's, campers, boats and bicycles. This is a bubble. It will pop. If you are on the fence about selling, hop on over and take some fool's money. When COVID is over, gas prices skyrocket, and all the shops are totally backlogged on repairing these old trucks, there will be plenty for sale at pre-COVID prices.

What will you replace it with?

It'll depend on whether or not we'll be moving in the near future, which we should find out in the coming weeks. If we do move out west (CO), then a 200 series will replace it. If we stay put for another year or two, a BMW X5 diesel will likely replace it.

Are you kidding me!?! I have the exact same truck (personally I would argue mine is better; I’m biased though), purchased just over a year ago...but not anywhere near $30K.

I picked this up from @R.K. but it isn't going to work with my cage. It is in good shape and I'm looking to get what I paid for it: $250. Located in Charlotte.

Bestop soft top for FJ40. Top is in good condition. No tears, windows are pretty clear. Full doors and bows included. Do not have snaps or windshield channel.

This would be a great replacement top for someone with a damaged top.
