If you could strengthen those side wings, flip them so they open from the top, and add some canvas. Presto. Pop up.
and then SAS, xfer case, dual batts, a 3.4 conversion, lift, lockers, larger wheels and tires, winch, etc etc.....and have something that sits in the driveway for years not moving.....(im allowed to say that, cause i have a vehicle that has sat in the driveway for 1/2 a year)![]()
.I was thinking, like your trailer, to put in a second tier and a bed above that like yours. I would have to use the corners for support and . .well I'm a big guy so not sure about thatI would leave room below for my clear water resist containers. Would need to have a place for the ARB and camp kitchen on the back.
Pop open the doors and drop mosquito netting below - gather it at the base above the tire and sleep with the doors open on nice/warm days. If no bugs, just don't put the nets up. The doors would be like awnings.
It is 5x7 and he won't sell it separate, so prolly a moot issue.
My truck is 79" wide, so I would have 8-9" on each side inset - I think that would look bad possibly - not sure - May look good. Length would be perfect.
Guessing it would be lighter than my bed and topper.
Not sure what I could get for my bed/topper if I tried to sell.
I was referring to taking that truck and using it as the platform, not your tundy. That cargo bed is probably going to be close to your current weight of bed and topper. They arent built lightly.
You should look for something similar on a full size truck. Might be exactly what you need. If you find on the same width as the tundy, you can mount alum boxes under the box for storage.
SAS - Prolly not going to do
xfer case - If I break my current
dual batts - done
3.4 Conv - Got a 2UZ
Lift - Done
Lockers - Maybe rear ARB someday
Larger wheels tires - Done
I'm DD it to work and it is like driving Lexus! Gas mileage is the killer of course@uzj100 and others have told me the 100 was smooth, but so is the Tundra

Why dont you just wait a few months till you have a new and different platform to build ?![]()
Couldn't have said it better myself.

I'll take themJust found out my old Peg Perego Gauchos that I got for my Niece and Nephew are still sitting behind my sisters house. Free to any current ONSC member just buy me a beer next time i'm in town.
I don't think they currently run... they ran fine when I first got them and them my niece and nephew lost interest in them and they've sat outside uncovered for years through rain and snow.
There are two of them, and they should have some extra parts that I bought off of CL for them a few years back.
I was holding them for someone in 2015 that decided he couldn't grab them but by then I was in WA so I never really thought of them again.
I'm going to relic run , so it would be the first of the week .kind of knew you would grab them.
They are at Kaity's house, not sure if you every went there with me but not too far from you. If you want to grab them this weekend i'll call her and get a good time.
