I've lost track of time but got a picture of that one sitting there perhaps 2 years ago. Sad.

Al nailed it and Johnny is also the resident expert. I like the video Jamie posted as the OM617 is one of my favorite engines, I would almost want to buy a donor rig just for the engine. I bought a 4BT but was quickly scared off by the vibration and the fact the vast majority of diesel swaps for sell are the 4BT. Great engine, but know what's in store for you. I ended up getting a 4BD2T and a NV4500 tranny, adapters are next on the collection list. Check out 4BTswaps.com, great resource in addition to Mud. Good luck.Would anyone happen to know anyone that is selling a Diesel engine that would be a good match for my FJ60?
Is the 606 what is in the Sprinters? They have 5's too, I think.
no the 606 came in the mid 90s 300D
the sprinters got a whole host of I4s, I5s and the newest have V6s
All this Mercedes talk is making me miss my 300SDL not a rocket ship bit that 603 made do. It was actually pretty fast considering I got 29-30 mpg in a car that was as long as my suburban. A sprinter 6 speed swap was I. The plans when I had to sell the trans and car to pay for some medical bills for the wifey.... Such is life.
Wanted - stock 17" wheels for a 4Runner or Tacoma. Don't care which model wheel, and cheap is good.
Thanks
It seems like the best diesels for every company were all produced in the early to mid-90s. All mechanical, usually re-sleevable, all before the heinous EPA over-regulations.no the 606 came in the mid 90s 300D

@mooker82 lives in the Park Circle area, but I was thinking his 80 was a bit lighter in color--not 100%. If not, maybe he knows about it.
