Not sure , I have had it for about 3 years. I thinks it’s a Solo.

I did however cut it up and rework it to remove the gap and make it user friendly.

Some points are described in the “what have you done to your 200” section.
Candidly, I would never spend 1000 dollars on a hitch swing. I spent 300 bucks for this second hand a few years back and finally found a use for it.

She's pretty dialed at this point with about 20k towing miles. The LX manages it great regardless of winds, grades, speed.

Yes, heavy. Pic above was stopping by a CAT scale. Been at 15,620 lbs with a family of 6 prior, so we're a bit lighter this trip with 4. Airstream 27FB is ~7700 lbs accounting for ~1100 lbs tongue weight on the LX.

So question, if our rig is pretty built out should we be stopping to get our car weighed? I am new to this.

I've done this a few times strictly for fun. I also snap a pic whenever I go to the scales at the dump. But no, totally not necessary. Just a nerd thing. Fun example: I found out that my V8-swapped FJ62 weighed 5280 lbs (fun number for a resident of the mile-high city) and had perfect 50/50 weight distribution like a sports car :steer:


In @TeCKis300 case, maybe necessary because he has a gigantic trailer and is getting close to max load for the vehicle.
 
Hi FxFormat - what tire/wheel combo and did you use spacers? Looks awesome!!

They're TRD Pro style wheels, offset is +20 and tires are 275/70/18 KO2. No spacers, with OEM wheels you will need to run spacers if you want a flushed look

Yes to what others have said. I'm only doing it as I'm beyond capacities, and it helps me with insight on how to best balance weights with various loadouts. Particularly the rear axle that does more than its share of heavy lifting and is over rating by ~1k lbs. I'm lighter this trip but I wanted to see how much weight I had taken off compared to a heavy previous trip:

Steer Axle: 3,120 lbs (Front GAWR 3,595lbs)
Rear Axle: 5,460 lbs (Rear GAWR 4,300lbs)
LX: 8,580 lbs (GVWR 7,385lbs)
Payload: ~2,200 lbs (Rated 1,411 lbs)
Trailer axles: 7,040 lbs (Trailer GAWR 7,600 lbs)
Tongue: ~1,200 lbs (Rated 850 lbs)
Trailer Gross: ~8,250 lbs (Rated 8,500 lbs, *2009)
GCWR: 15,620 lbs (GCWR 14,920)

EDIT: Keeping this thread on topic... After fixing an alternator issue while on a road trip, snagged the most epic walk-up campsite on the CA coast today. Views for days. I'll take the good and bad as all part of the adventure. Sure beats any work day.

This is our new to us 2020 LX-570 with the sport package. Previous owner vinyl wrapped the chrome in black, which I really like because to me it leaves the flashiness somewhere between the LC and a normal 570 although there are some spots that need touching up.

We had just gotten into some light off roading with our GX-460 (profile pic) when it was totaled back in April. I tried to love a ’23 2wd Sequoia for a little bit because of the extra room, but really wanted a LC200 or 570 the entire time (I was talking about a land cruiser before the GX was even on the tow truck).

My plans for it aren’t that extreme. Take care of any maintenance, then wheels, tires, and recovery points. I haven’t read up yet on the skid plate situation but I think they’re a good idea on any car so I may add or upgrade those if needed. If I can find a way to do it cleanly, I’ll also put in my Yaesu FTM-400.

Now that I've done the bone-stock shakedown (and partial baseline), time to start with the build!

Step 1: Wheels, tires and a sensor lift. Went with Black Rhino Rapids 17x8.5" +10mm offset and Toyo Open Country Trail R/T in a 285/75r17. Got most of my front bumper trimming dialed, but still hear a little rubbing so need to finalize.

Loving the way it changed the ride quality, and really loving the more rugged look since I wasn't a fan of the chromed out 20" wheels.

Need to take it out for a proper photoshoot in the dirt, but here's the iPhone driveway pic for now (taken with the truck in H mode)
