Lack of a gap between bumper cover and steel bumper is the first thing that stood out to me, too. Any sort of trail flex and that bumper cover will get destroyed without a proper gap.

She's really coming together. Looking good.

Regarding the rear bumper shell, can't tell exactly but it looks like the clearance is too tight. Not sure if you're done, but it needs something more like 1/2" clearance between the bumper shell and steel bumper as they will flex relative to each other.

Thanks man, I really appreciate that. I've been working on this thing with all the free time that I have trying to get it ready for a two week trip to Ireland that starts in two weeks. Still have lots to do, particularly the electrical, but all in due time. I'm excited to start taking pictures of this thing while out camping and not just in my driveway.

I know I need to go back and widen the gap, that was just my first cut to make sure it all fit. After getting it all together I was a bit spent so I called it for the day, but I'll get back in there and widen the gap before I take it off road.

Thanks, I totally agree. I'll probably get back in there tomorrow to clean up the gap.

New guy here, just picked up this one-owner TX rig. 2013 soccer mom spec (starfire pearl/parchment). Long time lurker (from when my plans consisted of getting into the 100 series platform...but here we are). Previous vehicle was a 2006 Subaru STi (what a blast! will miss the boxer rumble) - any other STi owners here?

Cashing in my one-time driveway pose.

In the process of selling my ‘17 STi. One of the funnest cars I’ve owned. Not the fastest but it was a blast lapping v8s on the track. You ain’t wrong about that rumble. RIP EJ motor

Last pics I’ll probably take of it with the factory steps. Sliders should be here next week, along with our baby scheduled to be born Wednesday. So who knows when I’ll have time to install them 😂

Installed the slee sliders as well as "modified" the rear tire carrier to fit the rock warrior wheel 34x10.5x17!

New to me 2014 with 80k miles. Switched out the rims and tires for some tundra's I found on facebook. Love the look, but man are those open country loud at highway speed! (to be fair they only have 30% tread left) So I am trying to decide which 32-33 inch tire to go with that is the perfect compromise of 95% highway and 5% mild to moderate offroad.

My vote for what it's worth: definitely go 33s. I test fit 32s (the venerable BFG KO2) and much prefer how the 33s fill the wheel well. More squish with taller sidewall is, of course, the functional benefit. My truck is my wife's daily driver and the family truckster, so it realistically sees what you describe 95% on / 5% off road.

Second that, 33's are a no brainer. I might have even gone 34", but maybe reserved for next time. Nice score on a low mileage LX!

Yeah. Think 33's are the way to go. Did you go with the E rated Grabbers or the standard? Thinking I wouldn't need the full E rating and would save rotating weight. Noise pretty tolerable, I haven't found a thread that actually measures decibel level in the interior.

A couple people have asked what my body mount relocation looks like, and while we were under the rig getting my gears/lockers installed we cleaned up this driver’s side w/ a ver. 2 shape/design. Abandoning the factory body mount all together and fabricating a completely new one. This time eliminating my body lift spacer at this position and creating more clearance underneath this point in anticipation of some custom sliders.

And just another old photo of the whole truck. Not sure if I’ve shared this photo here or not 🤷🏻‍♂️
