It’s a 2020, the wheels are off a Tundra TRD Pro. They were in rough shape when I bought them, so I have them refinished in a gunmetal grey, center caps I just plasti dipped. Tires are Toyo AT 3 285/60/18

Well done, that is a great color choice ;) . Those toyos are great in the snow, looks like a good time to me!

My 2013 LX 570, just bought recently from CarMax. 120k miles. Only got Mats wheels n tires so far. Gotta recoup on the wallet a bit first. I've got Yakima megawarrior basket on my old element that will be moving over sometime

Happy Thanksgiving from Rome! Not your normal adventure photos, but I can assure you that finding parking in Rome is its own adventure!

Below is a picture from the same spot the next day. I left my LX in front of the Basilica Coronati overnight and I don't think they were too happy about it. No ticket though.

Decided to run a couple of trails near home yesterday. Did the Yellow Pine Mining District trail and the Table Mountain trail just outside of Goodsprings, NV. Both rated a 5 (out of 10). The view down the ramp is an old hang glider launch. Not sure if it is still in use. Looked a little weather worn.
Got lost on the second one as it was getting dark and ended up on a very sketchy shelf trail dropping into a steep canyon. Finally found a place to turn around.
Was a beautiful day out in the mid 60's.
Headed to the 108 year old haunted Pioneer Saloon afterward for a Ghost Burger and some live music. Has a really interesting history.

After getting a massive hickory thorn in the sidewall of my Toyo ATIII's I convinced the manager at my local Discount Tire to let me swap them out for some Ridge Grapplers. I had the RG's on my GX and loved the performance and the aggressive sidewall. With the LX I wanted to try something new with the Toyos and just wasn't really happy with them. Nothing really "wrong" with them to report back, I just really like the RGs.

Was at the deer lease last weekend and with all the rain we received recently I got to test out the new tires and traction control while retrieving a doe. Thought I was gonna get stuck a few times but the LX just kept moving. Love this platform! Snapped a few poser shots to share ;)

RGs look is unrivaled. I dont blame you at all. The A/T IIIs only drawback IMO is it looks pretty tame.

You went like for like in size and load range? Could you please confirm that the RG is indeed quieter?

Correct, like for like.
No noticeable difference in noise between the two tires.
How noisy? I wanted to go with KO2's but I live in Seattle and I remember from my Jeep that had KO2's that wet pavement traction with KO2's borders on the dangerous. How is wet pavement traction with the RGs? Thanks. BTW your rig looks great, never considered the LC takeoffs but they look fantastic. Anyone got a set?

This is the 2nd set of RGs I've owned and I've never had a problem on wet pavement. My first set (on my GX) was used on all kinds of terrain from wet pavement to snow, sand, mud, rock, etc and I have nothing bad to say about them. They are going to produce more road noise than your stock tires but they aren't "noisy", in my opinion. I can't hear them above my radio and I am pretty conservative on radio volume.

The recovery point is a Factor55 Hitchlink and I don't leave home without it. I made numerous recovery pulls with it installed on my GX but I've only pulled a couple of deer with the LX

My new to me 14 LX next to my 97 taco. LX was a one owner truck in southern CA. Has 70k miles and every service was done at the same Lexus dealer. Now just trying to figure out the wheels and tire size I want, sensor lift and send it 🤘🏻

@Kurtj29What? Must be a Jeep thing. Have driven KO/KO2s for 200,000 miles and never felt unsafe in an AWD Toyota truck.
Well there were a lot of things wrong with the drive-ability of a Jeep - that is true. That’s why I got rid of it after only 10 months (2018 JLUR). I remember that dang thing was always slipping and sliding on the road in the rain. Really made me worry if I had to do a hard brake. Maybe it was just the Jeep but it felt like the tires just had absolutely no grip on wet payment - especially asphalt. I am sure there are other former Jeep owners on here - was that just a Jeep thing or was it the KO2’s?
