That’s rad, man.
Looks so good!
Thanks for the invite
Maybe if you weren’t so boring. Thanks for the inviteI'm in Houston too!
Sugar Land myselfMaybe if you weren’t so boring.
I’m in Houston Houston. Not cypress-Houston. You?
I’m guessing driving my vehicle without anything behind it is like what you feel like when towingMan, I'm seriously living vicariously through your build. And just when I'm daydreaming about it, you come through with more pics!
Random thoughts
- Body lift with 35-37s really should be a recipe adopted by more builds. Practical advantages include lower center of gravity, huge under axle and body clearance, lower weights
- Less need for bumpers and underbody armor with that type of clearance. Or at least until stepping up to a level of obstacles smaller tire rigs can't begin to approach
- Puts money and build effort where it really matters - tires. More traction, more clearance, more obstacle smothering rolling diameter and sidewall
I'm completely content with 35s, especially as it drives like stock. Enough that my wife has no perception of it as otherwise. Wondering how much more tradeoff it would be to 37s. Needing to tow heavy keeps my inclinations in check.
Until then, thank you for the pics!
I’m guessing driving my vehicle without anything behind it is like what you feel like when towingso… probably not ideal for towing …unless you added a SC
Otherwise, your description is exactly my design philosophy. This is the first real trail I’ve taken it on with these tires and it blew me away how well it did. Dropped to 8psi and it really rode well. The harshness I had felt in AHC high seemed to disappear.
I’ll try to keep sharing photos and progress.
...and I certainly live vicariously through others that drive the Rubicon trail and Moab![]()
re: harshness in AHC high
I forget exactly your spring setup? The harshness may be due to too much weight being carried by the AHC part of the suspension. Or said another way, not enough weight being carried by the spring part? You can add a spring spacer, or reduce the sensor lift a bit which should soften the ride.
Thank you! Tough to be as motivated to record when the mosquitoes are so prevalent and picking music is really tough.Your truck is amazing…and that area is fantastic! Beautiful![]()
