It does rub when flexing, I've got quite a bit of work to do. I've got to get everything ON the truck and then see how she sits...and I was kidding about the "too much" part.

Oh I got your joke, thought it was pretty funny.

Your truck is looking great man!

Okay, I was set on getting a Slee Short Bus bumper but this picture is really making me rethink this. That is one of the best looking rigs on Mud.

The wheels are 17x9 with 4.25" of backspacing. I still haven't balanced them…not too bad, actually. The rubbing is on the inner wheel wells and they come close to the Metal Tech sliders. I just try not to turn to full lock either way and it is manageable. I'm waiting for my new suspension to get a few hundred miles with the new winches and other gear to see how it will settle, if at all. Once everything is on it, THEN I'll worry about height spacers and trimming under flex. As of right now, it is doing a little bit of stink bug. By the way, anyone in Sacramento really good at installing the low range Marlin Crawler T-case gears?

Here are some 38s!

Those are 38" Toyo MT's on stock rims.

I assume: LT385/70R16

How big of wheel spacers are you running?

Specs call for a 10" wide rim. Ever have bead problems? How low do you run the pressure?

Its not sethzillas truck so may want to ask the owner of it....

True it's not my truck, I just love the look of his rig!

To answer your question UWDave,

I have run 12.5" wide tires on a stock 8" rim with no bead issues. I think the narrower rim helps keep the tire bead pulled on. Never had any problems when running around 6 psi at the beach.

I'm running my 38x13.5x16s on a 10" wide wheel with 4" of backspacing. Had to run a 1.25" spacer to clear my radius arms though.

That is 1shot1kill's truck. One of my favorite 80s too. I really liked the Afrika Corp Camo Paint job before he changed it to all tan.

I have some pics of that version too!

man this thread is making me question my desire to bump from 33s to 35s...maybe i should go straight to 37s haha. after all, i'll be making the jump after i retire it as my DD. do most of you guys have stock gears and axles? i just feel like 37s is the "breaking point" for stuff to start going wrong if you wheel it too hard. but then again, i'm a noob :)
