Any one has a 79 rear axle w/ 4:11 gears?

I took for maintenance my 40 and found out that the rear axle it's not up to the challenge

need to rebuild 3rd member, flange and the short axle.

I was going to take the 80 but wife decided not to come so I am going in my junk 79 fj40

I am planning on driving it from Brownsville

any one knows who's got one?

I'm picking up a '78 axle with a good third member from BigSur on the way down. It'll be a course spline pinion but should go right in otherwise. I'm carry'n it for a spare so your welcome to it if ya break or wanna run it for the Roundup, buy it outright or whatever .... I'm easy :hillbilly

Alrighty folks, I'm in.

I finally got registered with TLCA, LSLC and I am registered for the round up! YAY for me!

Aside from Mark Algazy I won't know a single person there personally so take it easy on me, PLEASE! . I'm bringin the whole herd along with me too, the wife and all 3 kids. Been meaning to sign up and come to a meeting for a year or so now... I'm thinkin this'll be the coolest first event I could attend. Really look forward to meeting all of you.

Oh and as a a bonus, as of right now I have a flight planned for Thursday to fly out from Fort Hood and circle the grounds a couple times. I should be able to get some good pics from the air, it'll be cool. We're technically limited to 500 ft and above when off the military res so I'll see just how low I can go . Of course this is all dependent on weather and as long as we have no maintenance issues it's on! So look to the skies around noon +- an hour or so for a UH60 BlackHawk Helicopter on Thursday. Then I'll be there for Friday night and Saturday. No promises but it is planned out already, I'm stoked.
