Looking for any recommendations on some great camping spots / locations for Mass, NH, or even up into ME. We just moved to Boston and want to get out camping before the kids head back to school. I have a 80 series towing a Turtleback, so we are good to go off grid for ~ 3-4 days. I'd appreciate any feedback of locations of some great camp sites in the backcountry. Thanks in advance.

Post your question in the Clubhouse section for Yankee Toys:

MA/NH- Yankee Toys

Yankee Toys has a run in Oct, The Fall Gathering, family oriented with trails from stock to difficult.

As to camping, there is Mt Desert Island in Acadia National Park in Maine,

Acadia National Park Camping | Mount Desert Campground

the White Mountains in NH, the Green Mountain in VT.

Mt Katahdin in Maine is also "out there":

Yankee Toys and Gotham City Land Cruisers are the 2 "local" clubs.

Welcome to the area. Where are you coming from?

Thanks Joe. I'm coming from PA. I did the Coal Mine Cruiser Classic last year with Gotham. I'll check out the links and have been looking into Acadia. I'm wondering if anyone has some "insider" picks on cool camp spots away from the crowds and off the beaten path. I realize that might be like a hunter giving up his favorite deer stand or duck blind but....worth a shot.

Lake Francis in NH is an excellent state campground.
