Are many of the other hitch/ball options still available? My 9/70 40 series is the drop ball with integrated step. Looks as if someone backed into a tree with it.

I only show this pintle. I don't see any other OEM listing for the 4x.

I get them for about $8 at Ace HW. They're great for tie-downs, replacing 1/4 of your rear roll bar bolts.

FWIW, there's a shop in Osaka that shows that part number for about $200. I wonder if it's exactly the same?

Ouch, does Toyota sell the eyebolts for the safety chains separate?

I get them for about $8 at Ace HW. They're great for tie-downs, replacing 1/4 of your rear roll bar bolts.

FWIW, there's a shop in Osaka that shows that part number for about $200. I wonder if it's exactly the same?

Are the ones you bought heavy duty enough to use as the anchor point for the pintle plus able to stand the shock of a safety chains if the trailer came loose?

I would jump on it if you found one for that much.

The bolt pattern is standard and fits other Pintle hooks and trailer hitches besides the Toyota pintle. I was using a stock on my 70 FJ40 but switched to a different one tha has the pin that locks the pintle closed for safety reason. Next I plan to switch to a pintle that has a 2" ball cast into it.

Too bad. I have seen some close to the ones used by Toyota on eBay. Those were used on military vehicles which is what I believed is what Toyota patterned theirs after. I haven't bought any of those to see how close they are, I have a few OEM sets already.
