Both sides had the same areas of rust.

All done. Now to make some tail lights ....

and here I had naively assumed like forever that all vehicles from the Middle East would be rust free...
That thing must have had a wild life.

This all probably was the guy I got it from. It was left outside and was full of leaves. These places that are rusted are just wet traps.

Paint is done, stripes are being designed at a local shop. Wired up the lights. I think it’s ready for a trip soon ...

Have you ever been able to identify the trailer maker? Sorry if this was covered earlier in the thread. Turned out great!!!

Im convinced it was a one off made in Saudi. The metal work once we blasted off the bondo looks very 3rd world. Lots of hammer and heat.

I must say that the stripes on the truck look really pretty nice. Retro, sure, but in a nice way. Well done.

(just noticed that the trailer is 5 lugs so likely not matching the 80 if the latter is like most. Plans for the trailer to be 6 - if you haven't discussed this earlier already- ?)

That’s not in the plans. I’m not worried about matching the lugs

Truck stripes are OEM Toyota

This thing towed great with 1500# in it and even empty

I was super impressed. I ran the tires at 18# all 2000 miles loaded and unloaded. No issues at all.

Mud shipping. A great excuse to tow the trailer!
