I have a 5.9 Magnum with the NV4500 that I pulled from a 94' Dodge Ram 2500. I would like to find a good t-case that I can fit using AA or any other recommended adapters. Not doing any serious crawling, mostly fire trails. Looking for quiet and reliable. Any suggestions?

I recently installed the NV4500 Gen1 behind my carb 350 1st Gen with a stock '69 T-case, 4.11 axles. The low gearing is sweet and highway cruising is much more tolerable. It was a lot of work for me and a great experience in tinkering with the 40. I previously had the 350 behind the stock 3 speed and t case and this is a major improvement.
My process involved moving the motor mounts forward, using AA bellhousing and T case adapter, new clutch, fabricating a new trans mount, shortening drivelines, rebuilding the T case, adding the twin stick t case shift linkage from AA and modifying the trans tunnel to fit the linkage.
It was pretty spendy, I stopped counting. I have A LOT of photos I can post if you wish.
OVER ALL... DEFINITELY WORTH DOING!

My 40 had an sm465 behind a sbc when I bought it. Although a good tranny, I wanted a rig that was great on and off road. Went with the nv4500 and a orion 4:1, 60 series axles, stretched WB to accommodate the length of the tranny. Completely different rig now, highly capable off road and quieter, smoother on the highway. Love the 5 speed as does my kids and wife. Fuel economy even when pulling my offroad trailer is better.

If this is a street queen with a little offload then definitely do it ... yes its expensive but the end result will be absolutely worth it
FYI ... I'm using the NV4500 in both my builds

Cheers
Steve

i think it's something like 86-90 60 series ,you can get a factory t-case mounted parking brake and full manual shifting .
Some of the expert here will chime in, maybe kurt @cruiseroutfit

You naiken it, 4/86 officially but we've seen trucks on either side of the cutoff date with a 34 or 38 so it's best to measure if in that proximity. More on the Split-Case:

Not that you need any deeper gearing with an NV4500 but the split case also allows 4:1 and 3:1 gearsets:
