I found an orange matchbox in a 5 pack at toy-r-us on Alameda today. there were 2 more still there. the 5 pack is called "Desert Adventure No.9". of course there is a Heep in there too. but this is a new color I haven't seen before.

I've seen the 5 pack at Walmart now too.

and rmirandayopo, you have lost it. that is a serious sickness you have there. of course, I put the big tires on one of my blue ones now, like in your pics. I'll have to get pics of it with my real FJ40. they match pretty closely now.:D

yeah, I know, I'm aware of that, but it is a fun vice... every little toy could be a lap dance... then, I'm in seriuos trouble :)

I'll post a video of the entire collection soon, not just cruisers... I need to fill like 20 more spots... waiting for the apple green one... I'll order it online soon... If I don't find it by Christmas...

I built a display, a couple of them, and I have the step by step instructions pictures set (Spanish)

I guess if you're going to have a sickness, you might as well make it worthwhile.

OK, where? I need to go shopping.

Walmart had a few. unfortunately, it comes in the 10 pack, so it's $10. the good news is that the dump truck can be disassembled for the wheels and axles to do this(rmirandayopo's pic,but I made one just like it)-

edit- notice the resemblance to my avitar. :D

so here are mine with SOA's and bigger tires next to the stockers. the orange one has a chassis swap with 4 links and coilovers.:D

using the rock buggy chassis, I just swaped the entire bottom chassis. I trimmed the little tab up that's on the rear of the FJ40 and grooved the front of the plastic chassis where the front bib contacted. also trimmed the rear of the plastic above the exhaust pipes to make a ledge for the metal tab to sit on. I'll get some better pics Sunday or Monday.

Hey Shawn I saw a 5 pack of Matchbox with a dovetailed 40 at CVS on central and louisiana today. I thought about you and almost bought it, did not know if you had that one yet. It is probably still there!

did you look at it really close? there is one out there that has a FJ40ish front bib and jeep rear end. that was probably it. if you can get a pic, that helps too.
I have the one I described. in fact, 2 I believe. was going to see about using one of them as a chassis swap to see how it looks.
